Engine oil centrifuge on an M35A2 multifuel

    What pressure do you need?

    factory turbo motors

Unless it interests you academically, it doesn't matter. You can get "LDS" power out of your LDT.

    factory turbo motors

The intake and exhaust manifolds are the same; the heads are the same (no runner or port differences). I can push my wastegate turbo to 15 psi and not trigger the filter minder thus indicating the air filter is not a restriction. The exhaust on my truck MAY be more restrictive but I have a...

    factory turbo motors

I haven't looked inside of an LDS but my understanding is that the second nozzle was designed to keep the top ring groove cooled which enables the use of low additive oils common when the engine was designed. I have to wonder if this design feature is obviated with modern oils?

How does the LDS avoid high exhaust temps?

    factory turbo motors

Why wouldn't it be prone to coming apart? It is prone to the same lower end failures and head gasket failures.

The minimal horsepower deficit that the stock LDT has versus the stock LDS can be overcome by turning up the fuel.

    Front brake hose upgrade

I ordered a set of hoses. The issue that I've run into is that the brake line tee on the axle (going to the frame) is inverted flare. However, the hose that I recieved has a flate face. Suggestions? Are there different brake tees or is the hose the issue?

7/8 wrench with 1/2 drive for M35 A2 head bolts

I purchased a snap on adapter and it doesn't fit in all of the locations. I ended up building one from double box end wrench and a socket. In building one, I can say that the weak link isn't the weld but the mild steel link between the wrench and the socket.

    Steering wheel cracking

I can understand the UV affecting the surface of the wheel but how can the UV cause the whole of the wheel to shrink and crack? Seems like a different problem.

    D-Max turbo on a multi-fuel?

I took off a wastegate to put back on a D turbo but that was because it was damaged. I eventually did obtain and install a good wastegate turbo. Who was the person who had performance issues?

    Front brake hose upgrade

I replaced all of the wheel cylinders in my bobbed deuce last week (1.5") and noticed that one of the front brake hoses has a crack. They were all replaced about 8 years ago but I want to be as safe as possible. So, I searched for a source for new ones and happened upon TM 43-0143 which...

You need batteries anyway for the alternator to function. I got 5 years out of my last walmart batteries.

Deuce Over Heated Today. Low On Coolant?

Agreed, it can also depend on the design but is usually confined to wet sleeve engines. That said, I have been following this forum since 2005 and I can't recall even one cavitation problem with the multifuel.

Deuce Over Heated Today. Low On Coolant?

IMHO, if it isn't needed for the 5.9 Cummins it isn't needed for the multifuel.

Deuce Over Heated Today. Low On Coolant?

My understanding is that special coolant is only needed for wet sleeve engines to prevent cavitation erosion. The multifuel has dry sleeves and is not prone to cavitation erosion.

    1971 deuce uneven power performance

I get about 13 psi on my 4LE354 wastegate turbo; maybe more if I spin the motor to 2400 rpm. I don't have any numbers for CFM but I can trigger the filter minder with a new air filter. It never did that with the C or D turbo. I have the larger compressor and housing from the LDS465-2 turbo to...
