    pyrometer sender unit

I believe most turbine blades are Inconel 713C which works up to 1800°F (http://www.nickelinstitute.org/~/media/Files/TechnicalLiterature/Alloy713C_337_.ashx). I think that you are in danger of melting the other parts of the engine first.

    Transmission Oil - 80w/90 vs SAE 40/50

The ArvinMeritor manual specifies API ratings of CD, CE, SG, or SG. The SG spec was current from 1988 to 1993 which was not "non-detergent".

    Over heating on deuce

I don't think anyone suggested that the multi should be operated without a thermostat; only that the idea that water can move too fast to cool is false.

Synthetic oil in the engine and burning fuel

Are you trying to say that a 15W40 synthetic has a lower viscosity than a 15W40 conventional? http://www.valvoline.com/car-care/motor-oil-myths/

    This notion is completely false.

    Early LDT turbo

This IS the case. Read TM9-2990-201-45 which outlines the LDS turbo part numbers and corresponding applications.
  16. JasonS

    Early LDT turbo

    All of the LDS turbo model numbers start with a "4" (ie. 4" frame): LDS427-2= 4D-454C. LDS-465-1= 4-456. LDS465-1A= 4LE-354. LDS465-2= 4LE-456. The LDT turbo model numbers start with a "3" (presumably, 3" frame). 3LD-305, 3LJ-319 (whistler), 3LM-39 (D).
  17. JasonS

    Early LDT turbo

That is NOT an LDS427 turbo. It is an early "C" turbo.

lds wastegate turbo on an M35

The intake tube from the M35A1 fits perfectly and is available from Memphis Equipment. Can't seem to post a pic, though.

lds wastegate turbo on an M35

In case anyone is curious about the sound of the different turbos... In order of increasing noise: 3LM-39 (aka D), 4LE-456 (LDS465-2), 4LE-354 (wastegate), and 3LJ-319 (aka C).
