All surplus armor is to be scrapped. The government sold 3 million pounds of new LSAC cabs a few years back and all were scrapped. One can buy a cab from Oshkosh for $25K but you will likely need another $100K in parts to get it to work, as there are substantial differences in the truck between...
Here is a list of things that you will have to service eventually:
Hydraulic pump
Cab latch
Fuel lines
Cab mounts
The obvious stuff, filters fluids etc.
CTIS system will likely need addressing, axle seal failures are common, as are the control block.
They were rustproofed but not very well. There was also an option for the earlier trucks to have additional rust proofing. One problem was the undercoating was water soluble.
LMTV factory A/C is approx 30,000 btu. The heavy equipment air conditioners are typically designed to cool a volume not much larger than a person.

Regarding electrials The 3116 had the realy/circuit breakers. The 3126 had the huge circuit panel that sucks. The C7 got the Power...
For the most part the trucks are all the same. Here are some notable changes
1993 to 1998 was the 3116 engine.
1999 to mid 2004 had the 3126
later 2004 to present had the C7
1998 to 2005 had the WTECIII trans controller
Late 2005 had Gen IV trans controller and 3500SP transmission
2006+ saw the...
Not all A1's have the battery disconnect solenoids. That appears to be a running change in the 2003 model year. Older A1's have the same battery wiring as the A0.
