looks good. I used the same insulation in my 109 and it's great stuff. Did you go with real oak floors? I'm gonna do the same except the imitation stuff since it's cheaper and I wouldn't be as worried about damaging it.
After seeing all these 109 threads I'm thinking posting one on mine is a must.
I did two, six hour trips on the freeway in my 109 going 45-50 the whole time and didn't care what the other motorists thought. I didn't notice anyone pissed off at me. In fact because I had the window down a guy on a Harley pulled up next to me and thanked me for his freedom and his families...
I drove 500 miles round trip to the beach in my 109 last summer and used the hand throttle most of the way. It was so much nice being able to move my legs to more comfortable positions instead of having to hold down that peddle for 5 hours. Like he said be aware of your surroundings. I had to...
Check your spindle bushings too. Mine had a ton of play which destroys the seals. I replaced my seals twice and they leaked imminently, then I realized I should check them. My friends truck also needed new ones so it seems like a common wear point. Shouldn't be a problem on an A3 since they...
Is it similar to an A2? On my A2 they put the piston in backwards and it would still clunk, but not lock in because it didn't have as much travel. The seal for the piston can leak air if it's damaged and that will go into the transfer case through an oil passage. I slightly gouged the seal on...
I read through those threads and decided to go with the Monroe 66903s. Haven't measured them but they're pretty much the same size as the original shocks, except I think the studs are a little thinner.
I always have it on me unless I'm crawling under the truck. The creek behind me in the picture attracts lots of predators and I have a bunch of animals so its necessary. A mountain lion ate a deer about 20 yards from where I was in the picture too. There's also been skunks that walk by...
Updated.
Finished yesterday. Drove it 20 miles today with no problems. I didn't get pics yet but I put in new shocks and it rides WAY better now. I drove it down a really bumpy road near by and it was like night and day compared to the old shocks. They took out the really bad jolting it would...
Just got done doing the same to my brake system. TONS of work.
There's no rebuild kits for the new style air pack so if it breaks you have to buy a new one.
Would RTV work instead of the gasket? I've used it on lots of stuff on my trucks and it holds fine.
