Crosby? I'm just on the other side of the river from you in sheldon. Take a heat gun and aim it at the exaust manafold. Check each cylinder and see if any one is running cooler than the others. This will tell you witch if any cylinder is mis firing. White smoke is unburt fuel. Is it smoking...
I have 2 kits. One i've installed on my M35 and the other is going on my M52. Now that i've got the right snorkle for the 52. I have the blueprints that came with the kits and the parts list also. I don't have anyway to scan them, mabye some one here could scan and post them here if yall want...
I had the same problem. Memphis equip had the parts. I got both bushings, the shaft seal and the gasket for the back plate from them. I haven't installed the parts yet though.
No not at all. Mine have a plug in the center of the cross where i put in a zerk fitting and can grease the u-joints. Your right though. There is no way grease is going to get in there.
Yes turbine oil will burn just fine weather its 32 or 68. I didn't notice any difference. It's a mineral oil and with out much parrafin in it. So as long as it's not burn from a overheating bearing and you get the metal out of it you should be very happy with it. It never get's cold here so i...
The "D" is a much better design. Better oil flow to the bearings. A extra heat shield between the turbine and bearing housing. And slightly larger bearings. The compressor wheel is slightly larger also. Yes this adds a little more lag. But with a increased fuel rate this is easily overcome. It...
Your blue smoke could be comming from the turbo. It may not be hot enough to expand and let the piston ring on the turbine side seal. Are you doing this at normal engine operating temp? Also you may be loosing some effency from your dual exaust set up. I don't know how much restriction you...
I just kept having them load it untill it looked like it had enough weight wise. I tow it with my M35 witch was loaded with lumber, rebar and a 4 pallets of quick crete. The trailor's brakes work well and i didn't have any trouble. But was suprised when i got on the scale to pay for the sand...
I have a weight recpet where i hade 11,000#'s of wet sand in mine. I had them load it untill the overloads looked like they were busy. If you count the leaf springs on these thingsa u will see they are very underrated. How much is safe? I don't know but the tires are surley the weakest link!
I have a frend who has completely taken his home off the grid. Although he uses wind, and solar to recharge a battery pack. The also recharges his deepcycle batteries with his CUCV. He ran bat cables to the bed hooks them up and uses the truck to recharge them while driving to work. He tells me...
The biggest results i got on the flow bench were from tapering the intake of the charge air casing in the lathe. I found that 3 angles have worked out the best. 40 deg at the mouth. 8deg further in and 3 deg up to 7/16 inch from the start of the compressor wheel. This is on the "C" turbo. the...
I guess i'll throw my two cents in. The Stock turbo both the "C" and the "D" are more than cappable of sending little chuncks of head gasket all over the engine compartment. Please don't ask how i figured this one out. I have done alot of modifing and testing on these at work. The "D" is...
I have a brand new one of those. Well it's NOS anyway. It can with the manual in the crate. I wired it up and turned it on. That fan spins soo fast you think it's going to take off! What info do you need from the manual i could look it up for you.
I don't worry too much about WMO and taxes. There isn't any red dye in it. And if i get socked again, i'll say i have a 40 year old fuel tank that needs to be cleaned. I think the addiive story is how they get away with only selling B99 bio not B100.
