Does anyone know if you can swap 4th and 5th around in the 6352 like the 3053a in the duece is? It would make 4th direct and 5th overdrive. I know there would be a large gap between 3rd and 4th. One would probally have to run up to redline in 3rd and almost lug the engine going into 4th.
I've had 9 yards of wet sand in mine many times. 32310 lbs gross on the yards scale. And i will be doing it again to fill in the holes in the back yard.
The turbo was running 12lbs of boost at 1250 deg with my foot on the floor. The trucks will pull when asked to.
Was the hole in the middle too big for the bottom washer? The filter will be very loose on the bolt shaft. you will have to center it on the washer to line it up in the filter housing.
Does anyone know how much home heating oil is up north?
I've noticed Diesel$ shoots up when they start running heating oil at the end of july. i usally drops in the early spring when heating isn't needed.
The hole in the middle that looks too big should work. The concave washer that sits on the cotter pin that goes through the shaft is what seals on the filter. And the cork seals on the filter housing on the top.
The napa filter is a wix, the wix # is 33511.
Make sure the washer lip is facing...

Running used motor and the like would probally send the EGT's way too high with out the FDC cutting the rate. And foul the injectors. But you could always adjust the rate manually each time you put fuel in it if you choose to keep it bypassed. I get used oil for free. But it's not...
Jed, Sorry on the pics. My comp at home is dead. As far as the thinner goes. I tried that too. I ended up taking some scotch brite and rubbed most of it off. Still not clean though.

I wouldn't worry too much about thick fliuds in a multifuel. I run a lot or used motor oil in mine. The only problem has been reduced life of the fuel filters. Now i may be fouling my injectors and turbine blades but i haven't noticed any problems yet. I read in a manual that it could handle...
I just started spraying carc i got from alpha heaven on saturday. It's 383 green and it doesen't look like that at all. Mabye it's my monitor, but mine turned out the color of the grass/leaves in the yard. I was suprised how close the pigment was to vegetation.

Does the VW have a IP or is it a CRD? Where can you by the solvent at? Is it expensive? When you mix it with the VO does it dissolve the fats? Or do they seperate? Is it harder to start in the colder weather up there? Is there any noticable difference in power/milage?
If you go to the deuce section, cranetruck posted a great article on how it's done. Complete with pics. Most crate motors were set up for diesel only because if the gaskets in the fuel denesity compensator leak it will dump fuel into the engine oil. So they bypassed it to prevent oil doulition...
How fast are you driving? Or i should say how RPM's are you turning? If your running it wide open, try slowing down. Almost any engine running wide open will blow oil.
I'd have the injectors pop tested. And cleaned at the least. You should get black smoke with a N/A engine at lower RPM's. But the gray/white smoke you mentioned is unburned fuel. Do you have #2 fuel in it? Is it cold enough for the fuel to gell? Are you letting it warm up? Is the thermostat...
It sure sounds like to injector nozzles are fouled or they are popping at too low a pressure. That lets them dribble fuel out instead of spraying. Hinch the white and gray smoke. White smoke is unburt fuel. Like when the military dumps fuel in the exaust of armor viehicles to make a smoke...
Are they ND tread? Is there enough clearence to run chains between the tire and rear leave springs? How much weight are they rated at? I'd like to get more road speed out of my M52a2.
