You are about 100 miles east of me. I was just up in your area roaming around the countryside. Interesting and beautiful, to say the least.. I had alway blown through your area and through KC on the Turnpike and never really spent time in the country. I did not see many military trucks, a red...
69 would indicate 138,000 gross vehicle weight, that is a seriously overloaded M1008. I had a load of tools and deuce tires and wheels on mine. I rolled across the scales at the salvage yard at 8.200 and change. My plate should have been 5 as I was over 8,000. I think the empty M1008 weighs...
One of the questions I wanted answered. It would appear to be a driving light, only it faces rearward. I thought it unusual. I have not plugged it into my deuce to see when it comes on. Glen
The deuce I bought in November took 70 days for the EUC to clear and it was my third EUC. The trailers I bought in December took ten days to clear, the Blazer I bought in 09 took 65 days to clear. The four trailer purchases this year have been about ten days. They played for a long time with my...
It was a curiosity thing for me. I agree on the dual lines, dual wheeled landing gear, pivoting rear leg, fiberglass side boards and steel bows. I have several of the sideboards and bows, and landing gear.
I have a really nice M105 that I was going to use for parades and hauling coolers...
I sold one to a friend... I bought them with a partner... he sold one, mostly parts though and tires for my deuce. He is in the iron business and sees everything by the ton.
Thanks to another member, the trailer behind your truck is a Pribbs body. It has inner supports inside the box as well and will be relatively new. You are talking about the extra bracing between the fender and ends of the trailer? Glen
I have been to Ft. Riley looking at trailers and have purchased about 15 M105s now. It seems like every round brings some different detail. We picked up three this week, while they are not as nice as some, they had some different details.
On the landing gear, we had the big single wheel and...
That is the nicest as released M105 that I have seen. It was exceptionally nice. Tows great behind the deuce and looks soooo good! Glad it found a good home, way too nice for the spare tires and crusher act. 8) Glen
We talked about it and I decided to just put on the extended lens tube, just set the camera on the surface and drove over it. That pass coming at it was almost 50 mph, probably the fastest I have run the truck. I like the speed pass from behind. I have a 50 cal can full of chain. I think I will...
Yeeeouch! I guess my old deuce would have come in handy.... Sorry to hear about the engine failure. What kind of rpm were you running? I would bet a rod bolt let go and the exiting rod took everything else with it.
