    Wait light problem

Do you know where the junction that ties them together? And I'm looking for 57J, one of the wires going into the control box under the dash. (Would just running the ground to one of the mounting bolts suffice?) Got to run and get some ring terminals, will start digging when I get back.

    Wait light problem

Actually, there isn't a 57A on the control box plug, it turned out to be 67A. Actually there is another home made wire going to the ground screw in the panel. Somebody has cut it. I have 79A which looks to be intact, 59A which melted and I can't tap into it. The wire is brittle just breaks if...

    Wait light problem

Got the instrument panel unbolted and poking around and found wire 57A was broke in two. I'm not sure there is enough the wire outside the wiring harness mess to get a butt connector. I'm trying to find in a TM where the other end of the wire ends but not having any luck in the TM's. Looking...

    Fan not cutting on

I've got my second Hmmwv out of 5 so far that the fan doesn't kick on at 215 or whatever. The only things that effect this are the temp sensor in the water cross over, the Time Delay Module and the Cadillac valve, correct? If I unplug the connection to the TDM, then the fan comes on and stays...

    Wait light problem

No. The Top is straight up and all lights are off. Turn it 1 to the right, signal lights and brake lights work. 2 and lights come on. High beam only shows when you have them on high. (Note the high beam light is a lot brighter when lights are on high beam.) PUt it back to upright position...

    Wait light problem

This is a new unit to me I've just started going through. Odometer reads 1100 miles and it seems like it just came out of service. Fluids are clear, wipers are new, runs good etc. I just noticed that the wait light has never came on. It starts fine, runs fine. So today I installed new glow...

    PCB removal

I think you would be best served reading up on why diesel engines have glow plugs. http://www.enginebuildermag.com/2012/01/diesel-engine-glow-plugs-not-just-for-starting-anymore/ (These are older engines.) I have 5 hmmwv's, new S3 boxes, TSU's etc. One sometimes I get the wait light...

    M1038 Mile Marker winch troubleshooting

Thank you for the responses. My controllers are the black ones. When I plug them in, nothing at all happens. Is this as simple as changing these two connectors?

    M939 Axle Nut questions

No. I just tapped the back of the lug nts on both sides. When it came loose i kept it off the spindle pulling it off. It seemed to go back on fine. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Legality of Passengers In Cargo Bed of MV's in MI?

If anybody messes with you based on that, then they are just out trying to collect/steal money. Take the statute, it's reasonable to prove you feel you're in the right. According to the FBI, apparently if you didn't know, then there is no crime to charge you for???? (Or maybe that only works...

    M939 Axle Nut questions

How did you do this or know it was out of position. I'm assuming one of your seals moved and covered the air hole shown on 3-1263 of the TM? For anybody else, the TM on this appears to be TM 9-2320-272-24-2 Starting with section 3-461 for the rear hub. The front hub is the section before.

Legality of Passengers In Cargo Bed of MV's in MI?

I'm not a lawyer and I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn express lately so this is just an opinion. As is pointed out, nobody in government has any accountability. If you ask and somebody wants to give you a ticket, they'll say it wasn't their responsibility to know but yours. Also, you can be...

Think before saying an "easy search" or "look in a Tm".

First I've been on chat rooms, forums etc since 1992. I've worked for Microsoft and presently a software developer. I've been in the MV hobby for a year now. In speaking with people, some get turned off from these sites because when they ask a question, they get chastised or ridiculed by...

    M939 Axle Nut questions

Thank you for the offer. I've got 3 900 trucks so I need them anyway. The OTC prices I think are extremely fair and I'll order them Monday. On that note, can I expect not to have any problem getting the hub off without having to replace and seals or bearings. This is an A2 with CTIS. I...

    M939 Axle Nut questions

Actually from the TM. Bearing adjustment nut is the inner, larger nut. Install hub (6), outer bearing (4), and bearing adjusting nut (3) on spindle (5). While rotating hub (6), tighten bearing adjusting nut (3) 50 lb-ft (68 N•m). Back out bearing adjusting nut (3) 1/8 to 1/4 turn so washer...

    M939 Axle Nut questions

    M939 Axle Nut questions

I will but I'd still like to know the size and specs in a short thread for others to find in the future.

    M939 Axle Nut questions

I've been searching an hour and haven't found anything specific to the M939. I've got a bolt broke of in the axle hub and need to get it off to take it to a machine shop and get it out. A tape measure shows the outer nut at 4.5" I'm not sure what the larger, inner one is. Does anybody know...

    5 ton Axle questions

Truck Pro ended up being a waste of time. Ended up finding them on ebay for $2 a piece when purchasing 10 at a time. To add to getting the axles back, push them in until they hit. Push down on the top center of the hub cab and in at the same time. When it goes in another couple of inches...

    5 ton Axle questions

I'm changing axle housings on a couple of 5 ton axles. Looking for part #'s for the "axle hub" gaskets for each side. (I'm hoping to find these at a parts store.) I took the bolts out to pull the axle shafts out and the gaskets came apart. I haven't got the axle housing lifted off but...
