Has anybody made or found a 24v tow light?

I've got an M998 and 2 M105 trailers I'm trying to figure out how to pick up in one trip. One thought is to load a trailer in the back of my 923, then hook a tow bar to M998 and then one of the trailers to the back of it. (Providing I can release the brakes without air.) If I go that way I'm...

Has anybody else had issues with GovPlanet misplacing your wire transfers?

Next day is most likely an ACH EFT and the fact it's $10. That's good if so and if that's the case then I don't know what's going on. Hopefully they'll follow up. Thanks for all the input.

Has anybody else had issues with GovPlanet misplacing your wire transfers?

$10 is usually a next day ACH transfer, do you know if that's what they did?

Has anybody else had issues with GovPlanet misplacing your wire transfers?

For everyone doing an EFT, how are you doing the transfer? Online, going into a branch etc? Are you doing it immediately, next day or 3 business day?

Has anybody else had issues with GovPlanet misplacing your wire transfers?

The way they explain to me is you can pay with CC up to $5,000 on each transaction. I'm glad we're not chasing the entire amount.

I strongly recommend you don't put your SSN on the EUC and email or mail it

Where's the fax machine on their end? Who has access to it? How are the faxes stored versus an encrypted copy sent in an email? (Of course if they are printing out the emails and storing them the same as faxes, then that part of it ends up being the same.) As far as mail, would you mail $10...

I strongly recommend you don't put your SSN on the EUC and email or mail it

I'm not a lawyer either, but put yourself in the shoes of owning a company. If you follow secure procedures and do the best you can to secure information, then I agree most likely nothing will happen to them other than fixing what they are responsible. However, if you blatantly ignore best...

I strongly recommend you don't put your SSN on the EUC and email or mail it

Good points. The way I see it, I don't give my info out anymore. I haven't changed phones in 20 years, my family does my insurance, W4/1099 I do in person. The places i do use it like filing taxes, the companies have secure sites. They get hacked it's on them. However, sending a SSN through...

I strongly recommend you don't put your SSN on the EUC and email or mail it

On the web, SSL can be used to encrypt the data. W4, hopefully you're doing where you work and not emailing the form. Insurance company, in person or at least over the phone. Again, I'm saying don't just give it out insecurely.

I strongly recommend you don't put your SSN on the EUC and email or mail it

I'm not sure where all you're giving it out. There are just a few places can legally require you to do so. Either way, I didn't say not to give it to them if you want an HMMWV, I'm suggesting to securely get it to them and just not email it to them insecurely in an email.

I strongly recommend you don't put your SSN on the EUC and email or mail it

I'm on my second Hmmwv transaction and the first I had my wife send in the paperwork. This time I went through it and noticed them asking for a SSN. I put the last 4 and asked them to call if they needed the rest. The GovPlanet rep would not call and said all the data had to be typed in...

Has anybody else had issues with GovPlanet misplacing your wire transfers?

Not even going to get started on the SF97's. You ask before you purchase, 3 to 4 weeks. After you pay, 3 months later, nothing we can do, it's the government. Anyway, how do you do your transfer? I do mine on line and I select the next day option which is $10 instead of the same day which...

Has anybody else had issues with GovPlanet misplacing your wire transfers?

This is the 3rd time since last year I've purchased military surplus from GovPlanet. They limit you to $5k per transaction to a credit card and force you to wire the rest. EVERY single time I've wired the balance, it NEVER posts. I start getting the friendly reminders that I have 3 days to...

New to looking for a HMMWV and a few questions

Just be patient, you can get 4-mans as cheap as 2 mans. Of course if you get a 2 man, you may not change it. The first one I purchase is a two man and I like it as a 2 man.

What am I missing? Why so much interest in this hummer?

I think people get their heart set on one and it's close enough for them to get and they aren't going to give up on it. That or somebody gets the bug, they go on ebay or find somebody that's purchased one and trying to flip it for 20k and 15k seems like a deal. The opposite happened to me the...

    Removing front left body mount?

Thanks, I ended up being able to get a 15/16" wrench on the bottom nut and you can get a 1/2" socket on the top one. I got my foot on the bottom wrench and finally broke it loose. Then I turned around and put my feet on the front diff mount and pulled a little at a time. What sucks is you...

    Removing front left body mount?

Thanks. I'm by myself, I tried a swivel with a impact gun, but the swivel just collapse. I'll try to get somebody to help hold the socket while trying to break it free.

    Removing front left body mount?

Starting work on a M1026 I'm going to paint and do an engine swap on. Trying to get the body off first, then take the engine out. (Not going to try and pull the engine out the front.) Bolts are rusted. I can get a wrench on the bottom nut but can't get enough pressure on it to break it...

    Hmmwv rear brake calipers

I was able to find a Boot seal kit at Napa. Part # is 1473 FYI. If you run into a situation like mine where it appears piston seal had an issue, I took a small screw driver and got the Piston cap off to get to the thrust bolt nut. I just bent in a little area and tapped the screw driver head...
