I would like to come up and see your truck sometime (when it's warmer)
I spend a fair amount time in your neck of the woods on Put-in-Bay and Kelly's Island.
My son and I have been planning for a few years now to walk from Catabwa over to Put-in-Bay on the Ice, but have not been able...
Thank you for the reply.
This was the mean reason that I created this posting, for an education.
Any impression of a commercial influence I had is way off base.
I stand corrected.

A second point I was way wrong about: the length of the neck of the trailer(launcher?) that the xm757...
I’ve been reading about your 1969 Ford XM757 8x8 tractor and am ultra fascinated.
I have a few question your truck and instead of a sending a private message, I thought I would create a public posting as other may want to know more about your truck as well.

OOO YESSS!!!
Would nice to have an electric beam that was like a fence around my place.
When a bad guy would break the beam, he would have a 75mm of fully automatic can of woop ass opened up on himself!
This would even work on the pesky neighbor's dog that has been trained to crap in my yard...

Well, I missed spelled salw...the W and the E keys are too close for my fat fingers.
I edited the post to correct the spelling...but the title seems to still be salw.
I'd like to know more about this goofy story.
How does one get a running, full functioning M60A3?

I've been reading the following posting about really nice M-578 in the UK
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/tanks-apcs-etc/15695-m578.html
The Maintenance Battery of the FA unit I served in had a M-578.
It was the largest vehicle in our unit and was tagged to recover whatever a 5 Ton wrecker could...
Well, if you have a FADAC (Field Artillery Digital Automatic Computer) you would want a genset that produced 400hz.
But, in today's environment, the only use of a FADAC would be a door stop for a very large barn or an anchor for a yacht.
Disclaimer: This question is just mental exercise for me.
The topic of which I am posting about is just me thinking out loud.
I do not own a M-911, or am I planning to buy one (I wish) or am I planning to repower one.

Does the DoD sell vehicles such as the M-577 Command Post Carriers?
If they do, are they legal drive on the road?
I lived in one for the better part of three years in Germany when I served as a FDC Specialist in a Lance Missile Battalion.
I had a passing thought that maybe they would make a...
