5000?
I found a tag on the right front firewall with a the numbers 4280. Wondering if this indicates the production number?
Also looking for info on the bumper winch. Mine is 95% missing. I'm sure I could put any winch in there but I would prefer the correct one.
Armored MVs
Maybe you could chain yourself to them or take up residence in one to stop the destruction like those people do that hate to see tree's destroyed.
I have an M816 wrecker and an M923 Cargo. I love both of the trucks, but putting a Pal Finger on my M923 would eliminate the need for 2 trucks. The wrecker is just so impractical. It is worth it's weight in gold for what I need it to do, but a knuckle boom would serve me better. I repair them...
Started the Deuce the other day, (10 Degree day). Hit the Either start button once as I usually do when it's that cold. Started and ran like it was running on 3 cylinders. Hissing from somewhere, but could not see where. Instantly i figured head gasket.

I put one on my M1028. The thing runs so much better, but I am experiencing some leaks. I parked it until I can put a gauge on it and be sure I am not over 10PSI even though Banks assures me I would be lucky to see anything higher than 8PSI.
Work in progress. May leave the outside as is, but I am putting beds and paneling on the inside. This was bought through GL and is a former Navy support vehicle for some sort of Family support group. Not sure what capacity it was used in.
Wheels are being saved. I am trying to clean the yard up and don't really want to hang onto anything. The axles and shaft are good. Let me know if anyone wants them. I am not really wanting to remove them as I have little time, but if it's worth my time I will make it happen.
Hated to do it, but I came to the realization that this project was a looser. Rotten cab & bad trans. Not worth the time and money to bring back to life.
