The four A2's on the truck, I used RTV on new O-rings, which are smaller than the A1 O-ring. It's been 24 hours and so far none of them have lost pressure, so hopefully they will be OK with the RTV, rather than lube. I tried using RTV on one of the A1 rims, but I didn't expect it to hold air...

3/8 O-ring sounds about right. The pic of the rim is what I believe to be the A1 rim (5/8 bolt), the others on the truck are A2's (3/4 bolts)

I have both the A1 and A2 rims, I just got for my 5 ton. I recieved new O-rings for the A2 rims, but none for the A1 rims. Does anyone have part #'s for the two kinds of O-rings, and a good supplier? Been putting 6 of these together, if anyone needs a good work out, this will do it!:shock:

I'm not sure I understand your concept, but wouldn't you need to fabricate a linkage to engage the front booster? As far as the brake pressure, you could use a adjustable proportioning valve in the line. I have used a few of them on different projects, they work well.

Sorry, I did a few searchs, and all I could find was pressure from fording kits.

Unfortunately, I can't, too much mechanical work needs to be done. I dont even have the seats bolted down yet, and I found a few leaking air lines last weekend. I've been doing the cab, and haven't found time to get the mechanicals striaghtened out, it's just not safe to be on the road yet...

Thank you Doghead. For me the crew cab was a necessity, I just could not fit comfortably in the cab. Plus now the room I have is awesome, the English Mastiff can ride in back with plenty of room.:)

It's real different, so I don't expect everyone to like it, so I think I will be able to handle the bad press, thanks for the offer though:) It has a seat in the back, even with cutting the rear crew cab down 12", there is still plenty of room.

My son and I spent the day finishing up the 5 ton, we added a different camouflage job, but created a lot of memories.
