I'm not sure I want to start this up....but....that speedo has
NO clue what size tires are on your truck.
75 indicated is really scootin along in 3 tons of 30 year old
80's technology. No disrespect intended here folks. I'm
just saying.
All Right!!!!
I got a bunch of Dex/Merc hanging around up here just
begging to go in a tranny, I just changed the transfer case
fluid out an hour ago!!!
You're talking about fuel mileage with 30 year old
extreme duty equipment. I'm getting 11-14 mpg with
my M1008, depending on the load, trailer, etc. My diesel
guy has a newer 7.3 Ford and gets 9-10 no matter what.
I hope he doesn't sabotage my injector pump when he
rebuilds it.
Check your p/s pump and bracket. Mine was loose and was so loud
at idle you couldn't hear yourself think if you were in front of it. It had
1 nut missing on the bracket and 1 bolt holding the pump to the bracket.
After the repair, she's so quiet you can actually be under the hood while
it's...
You will love that cupro-nickel (spelling?) brake line. Cuts and flares like copper.
You can make very nice bends using only your hands. I replaced a couple
of the 3/16 lines on the rear. I would get a coil of 1/4 and a 3/16. For the
fuel line, you could use 5/16 rubber line, that's what I'm...
Antennaclimber sells NEW glow plug cards.
Just get one, you won't regret it. Mine works flawlessly, and its not 30 years old.
Besides, he employs veterans. What's not to like?
Plus, there's a hot start option with his card.
My bumper has this. I've used it a couple times. My brother in law is
an equipment torture specialist, he approved the work and I used
his trailer. Bumper with pintle hitch? No problem. Check your welds
and reinforce if you can. PM me, I'll text you a pic.Tow the boat at
your own risk.
M1008, 285/75/16 tires. Usually 55 but I have a
short stretch of 4 lane highway I go 65, maybe a mile.
It seems to run right along nicely. If I have a load
or pulling the trailer (M101A3) it's just 55. Heavy loads
are 45 max, I only have to make it there. Doesn't
matter when.
