Some of the 101/116 trailers have a vent tube coming out of the cap. If you search around on Google for images or on here, you'll see them. One of mine does, the other doesn't.

So do my friends Jack, Steve, and Anna with some regularity. I'm sorta guilty of not having gone even though it's about 15 mins away. Mine's not on the road after dark until I get headlights replaced and gremlins shoo-ed away.
I'm up for something, though. Just not sure what at the moment...
Art: Thanks. Still trying to get in touch w/ Alex to make sure he'll make 'em fit for me. I should know before too long. Hope he'll do it and that I'm not too late. I'll let you know.

WTB M116a2 A-Frame arms/rails. The ones that run from the trailer's frame to the surge brake. M101 would probably work as well. Pls contact me in advance of the show so I can arrange payment and transport.
Thanks.

Rumor is that if Digger09 wins, anyone who voted for him will have a personal Mule taxi service to tour the show and get their stuff to the parking lot at Gilbert. I'm now shopping for skids of 6TLs.
Good luck, Chris.

I'm sure that the German re-enactors would be happy to have 2 when you get this one done. A prize taken from the Russians on the way to Stalingrad . . .
If you Google the term above and click images, you'll see lots of them including the double boiler. The 1st one I came across like that was...
Both the explanation and the photo are a big help filling in the gaps from the TM. I'm going to work through that approach.
Thanks to both of you.

What I'm finding is that by the time I get the jam nut to put a bit of pressure on the lever, the inner shoe wants to contact the drum. I've loosened the moustache spring, tightened it, etc.
When it was run down far enough on the cable to hold the truck, the inner shoe was actually putting...
Bumping with additional questions:
- Am I correct that backing the adjuster bolt out is supposed to use the bolt head to hold the top of the outer shoe closer to the drum?
- Is the lever supposed to be run in on the cable before spring 3 engages? I've backed off nut 2 on the left drawing...
I'm trying to remedy a too-tight adjustment that dates back to swapping my transfer case. Seems all the adjustment was done at the cable and arm and the inner shoe was dragging.
I'm trying to go through the TM procedure but my cable is older and there's no clear 'start mark' where they say...
The video is making the rounds as requested. It was posted on the MTA member's list 2nd hand a few days after it appeared here. I hope they're successful with the restoration.
