Strong Work, gentlemen! The look is good. As to the minor fixes that always show up, HWLongfellow suggested: "All things come round to him who will but wait."
Second the query about how to logout!!
Thanks, folks. Yet another informative and illustrative thread. Special thanks for the useful links and the insights re military vs commercial sets. Here come another few evenings of study, and I haven't even been able to score a genset yet.
The ante is definitely up over the past several months. My guess it's a combination of re-sellers seeing an increased market that derives from weather events this year and individuals having similar recognition who are determined to get a genset. For example, a refurbed 003 on a trailer just...
Picked up a saw at Ft Sam last Monday. Two calls to the GL person for driving directions got me to his door. GL says site is on 15th St...nope. It's Engineer St. Took about a minute to sign the forms and get out the door...new league record. No pre-GL clearing as I didn't use the...
There were two 003As at Polk that appeared to be refurbs; went for $2060 and $2110. One in Pineville w/980 hrs on a 116A2 went for $2170. A pair of 003A refurbs on a 103A3 went for $2900 in Huntsville...deal of the day, relatively speaking. Four refurb 002As at Gulfport went for from $1075 -...
Exceedingly curious about your acquisition. Are those motors intact and complete, except for filters, etc.? Sounds like you have plans for 'em. I might be in the market for one.
edit: Nope, not yet.
Yep. That's the thread that finally led me to think an 003 could haul the freight. I never cease to be amazed at the caliber and volume of info here and in the deuce forum. Hats off!
Having read many of the extremely informative genset threads, I think that I might be able to start/run all of my 3-ph machinery using a 003A.
Items of concern are:

Negative! The $1600 clearly was a good price, and, your delivery option made it even more attractive. The dry ice, which took some finding during Isaac, did away with the immediate need, so I did not have to call you. Glad you had a buyer.
Re the three girls, been there; still have the...
Your prices are good; was going to call you for the 002A, but found the dry ice wholesaler!
I'm curious about your comment about junk buys. Several folks have said they have been burned, but the majority appear to have made out ok. What would you estimate your 'junk' percentage to be?
The Ft Polk 003As that I was watching went for $1490, $1925, and $1630, There is someone in MS re-selling who posts that he will have 003s this coming week. Suspect he might be the one. He sold an 002 recently for $1600, and has 2-30 kw sets advertised.
Folks are still thinking hurricane.
Don't know where you are in Tx, but for what it's worth, Jack's in Tucson [ check him on GoogleEarth @ 32° 8'56.09"N 110°52'53.87"W] has stacks of beds in one of his yards, among other things. (520) 574-0300
Continuning the revival of this thread
All valves pictured in this thread differ from the Canada-made valve on my '87 Kasel M105A2. Comparing the photo below with the earlier ones, the bolt pattern mirrors the others, the plug in the base is aft of the wasp excluder, and it has a...
Roger the fuel i$$ue! Just did a back of the enevlope re a 15kw at ~.66 gal/hr for 4 days and change. Works out to about a 600-mile drive in the deuce; $260-270.
