yeah the back up lights i dont have going through the trailer plug.. have a seperate spade connection for that.. back up lights are handy on a trailer when moving around in the dark
it is hooked into the two plugs that were for the military trailer plug. there is also a small bundle.. i think 4 wires that are for the blackout lights that are also part of the plug
i have figured it out for the most part and seemed to be a weathered connnector on the truck..
wires are as follows
DK green= R, stop turn
Yellow=L, stop turn
Brown=marker drive lights
BLK=ground
LT green=back up lights
tonight on my M1009 as i was moving my boat i noticed i my tailer lights were not working properly... i have never messed with them. it was retro fited when i got the truck from a military plug to a 6 round plug here is where my issue is brake lights and turn lights work fine... turn on...
your best bet is to cut the line and pull the pump and get the fitting out then take the measurement of the line and make a new one. the ends are prone to seizing up in the pump. it is a low pressure line you could replace it with ruber but you would be better of making a new metal line and...
RE: Re: RE: Fliuid/Filter questions!
when it comes to protection do your homework. not every thing is the same. a few dollars here and there will save you many in the long run to your investment.
well if you shut the radio off... you should be fine cause you have two power wires on your radio ... a red and a yellow one constant for the clock and memory and the other the main power while it is under use. if you have your back lighting wire hooked up you should wire that into your dash...
need to have some details on what all touble shooting you have done thus far. it is possibel that your fuel shut off solenoid is going bad in your pump but they normall do that when they are hot and will stick closed.
i run all Amsoil fluids in everything in my M1009. my fuel filter i have replased with the fuelmizer filtration system, and for the oil and air i use napa gold. I also use a FS2500 oil filtration system and yes it was worth every penny. the oil looks as clean as when i put it in and i sample...
the engine will barely idle if the timing on the pump is off on tooth on the gear let alone make it to 1200 rpms... i agree you have a fuel issue. get a pressure guage and install it inline between your lift pump and IP. you should have 4-6 psi. if you don not your lift pump is going bad.
i just recently replaced the filter system on my 1009 with one from Stanadyne the fuel manager i got it with fuel heater and water light sensor for $170 and it was a direct plug and play filter.. you can get 5 or 2 micron filters for it
i have run into another problem with my m1009... it is the usual air in the fuel lines at start up. i have tracked down the source of the leak to the seal on the water drain tube on the fuel filter housing. My guess is that it has been bad but with changing out the filter and running the new...
RE: Re: RE: And the work begins
thanks for the support guys. when replacing the door glass i found the the window regulator was bent.. and the glides were dry... a quick fix
Armada yeah i know jake.. we were side by side over there... i showed him pics of my truck and he said he wanted...
well I got home from the sandbox on the first and have begun to work on my M1009... after doing a walk around and a PMCS it is amazing how much the iowa weather will take it's toll on a truck. many surface rust spots to attend to where there were rock chips in the fenders. I went to post to...
he guys sorry i havn't dropped any posts in a while. been busy getting ready to get out of here and training my replacement.... god help me! but any ways here are some pictures of a CUCV that i was walking by. the ac system in it is part 5 ton part HMMWV
RE: Some Squeelin
inspect your belts. check the and see if the are tight with right amount of deflection. you may want to take your belts off and clean your pullys with a wire brush and some alcohol.
Those doors in the picture are the current frag 5 door. there has been talk about a new door design agian but honestly the truck cannot take anymore weight. i have two of my guys working at the shops with kbr putting these kits on 1114's things are a lil interesting with 650 pound doors and a...
so far my plan is to stick with 2.5 back to the mufflers then 2.5 or 2 inch out of the muffler but that is pretty much what i am looking at now. i know it will be a lil bit louder then stock, but i like a lil extra grumble out of the pipes. performance would be improved by running 2 inch with a...
