untill you see with your eyes remember that is just a rumor... sure it would be nice... although that would mean having to add a computer to fire the injectors and installing a crank trigger like a on a 6.5 turbo. the Crap-o-dyne pump is only good for 25 hp per cylinder.. what would be nice...
the reason you can not find that on the civilian side is because it is just a sensor for the STE-ICE. you do not need it. there are plenty of extra sensors and sending units that are only there for vehicle diagnostics. i did some scratching of my head when i went to replace my filter...
to replace the shaft is just a matter of 4 bolts on the pinion flange and the u-joint and shaft fall free. then it just slides out of the back of the transfer case. You should be able to pick on up at a junk yard no problem... just make sure you measure first... i had to replace on my M1009 one...
i agree you must have a bad ground wire from your alts. check you voltage output from your alts you should have 12-14.4 at one and about 24-28.5 at the other one. remember the batteries are just there to start the engine that is it... and reserve capacity
the one you need is a specialty socket snap-on has it, BUT you should be able to pick a 30mm 1/2 drive socket at any napa/ big box hardware store or Sears. a standard socket will have to be grounds down a lil on the oustide to thin the wall so it fits.
A new radiator will run you close to $500. if you know of any good radiator shops that would be your best bet to fix up and repair your old one for alot less $$$
RE: Tools needed
19 MM on the fuel line, then injectors are a 30 MM kinda tricky of you dont have the right thin wall socket but with some some patients you can get an open end wrench on it
yeah i would have to agree with the longer runners giving a bit more Torque and grunt. We have a "detuned" 6.5 dyno queen at the shop that we try out different things on to test... pumps.. heads.. ect the engines base line HP and TQ at WOT was 260 FT/lbs 170HP @3600 the same engine with a...
does anyone know of any preformance difference in the intake on the CUCV intake versus the one on the HMMWV 6.2/6.5 the only tow things that i can see that are different is the CUCV design has two ports for the CRD valve lines and the intake is about 1.5 inches taller with taller runners.. my...
RE: Re: head lamps
yes yes I will post pics when it is all done.... better bumpers and good lights are a must here in the middle of White Tail country.. i hit 8 last year the CUCV a couple dents in the bumper and tweeked the brush guard.
I seen these lights a few months back wile doing some training at the RRAD. they were factory from Oshkosh. I will tell you they are BRIGHT. i am going to see about getting a pair to put on my M1009...
no All trucks had to be mission ready at turn in. they were actual functioning part of our unit.. just be a matter of time til get get our replacement LMTV's
it can all be fixed just how much you want to spend... i would pull the pan off the tranny then drop the tranny out and inspect it check the bell housing ... that force had to go somewhere ... they drive shafts would have to be replaced... junk yard or new ....race car shops can build...
well this weekend was a bitter sweet weekend for me. We had to get all of our M35a2's up to 10-20 standard load all BII and turn them in so we can get our new trucks. hate to see them go but that just means that they will be heading out on to the auction blocks in the near future. Many of them...
what is the PSI of your electric fuel pump. should be regulated at 4-6 PSI if it is to high is will cause the fuel to seep pass the head and rotor inside the injection pump. We use an electric pump to prime the 6.5's at work on the Dyno. every once in a while we will get one that will not start...
