Did you get this working yet? I have ten governors, a few senators and a bunch of MLA's laying around so if you need parts......
What did you lube that governor up with? I'm away from the manual but thinking we filled it with air-tool oil. It's just some pressure springs valving the air off so...
P-4 Retirement
She won't climb for a while but now at least, we have a plan......and it's better than the last plan because this plan is flexible.
First lets have a toast to those guys that work on heavy trucks and love it!!!
You guys are nuts, plain nuts. 3 mechanics spent maybe a...
I did the "Dash cover" in parenthesis search and what you're looking for may have been buried in a thread that doesn't have a relative title.
Sometimes it's easier for me just to go through the 'archive' CUCV thread which can be found searching the term "steel soldiers cucv archive"...
That is just beautiful. There is a great write up on the Cessna here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2146995
Good coverage on the original plane and conversation on the model.
Got a buddy with a little ocd using his air-brush to detail his toys but the decal layout is always...
Compensation
It's the boyfriends of the girls that are staring up at us that use the 'compensation' theme to keep them from jumping in our trucks. I started that rumor with my girlfriend decades ago when she saw her first corvette.
You go buy that big truck and show em' that all that matters...
M1010 Alaska
I took a picture of a gorgeous M1010 in Dawson Creek when the team was on display downtown.
The truck made this seem like a small continent with that drive so she probably deserves a new heart.
My 1010 could only go to Dawson for the send off and we must toast to the courageous...
P-4 info
Pasted a couple of specs showing capacities. This beast could foam, spray water and excavate dirt. Tank capacity evades me right now but I fit in it so it'll hold more than a two six of Tangle Ridge.
Good eyes! It bounced a lot of miles to leave marks like that and since you noticed...

P-4 Pre-Start
Somebody must remember doing the painting on our IndianTown Gap PA ARFF OSHKOSH 1975 P-4....Unit 2. Had some new eyes around the truck today and we found this mouth painted inside the front cannon. Whoever did it knew the truck well.
Found an interesting symptom today in the...
Spring is just around the corner.
Got a call from a friends kid today who wanted to take some new jeeps for a stretch. Never easily distracted I had to join in and see what brand new jeeps could and couldn't do. Really have to respect these young guys who had some fun but were careful with...
I just read this again and that makes a lot of sense for plugging in external air. That outlet goes to the RH Rear Reservoir....puzzled look on my face slightly reduced, thank you.
Right now anything helps and the systems are technical. I'm still not seeing how the 'throttle treadle' pushes required air into the 'throttle cylinder', then to a lever on the governor when there is no air in the system.....but we're close to comprehension. I can now see how the engineers...
Throttle Linear Actuating Cylinder Assembly
I'm not exactly sure how these things work so can we talk "Throttle Linear Actuating Cylinder Assembly"?
It's think out loud mode so we've got this throttle that doesn't work unless it's got air. The truck won't start without throttle control...
G749 Air Pak
I missed this M207 at an auction a few years back and it had a re-built air-pak with a part # tag on it. It went for $1600.00 and the boys bidding had more doe or less sense, probably more doe.
The air pak came from Edmonton Brake and Clutch and looks a 37 64 (6) 0. Talked to Joe...
Cumminsbandit had a pic on #222 of this thread http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?79932-Contemplating-a-Bobber!-To-do-or-not-to-do-that-is-the-question!/page23
Not sure how to do this but I do know it's a good time to prune your trees.
