I grew up with the inventor's son so I might be partial to this product http://www.endura.ca
It is a poly paint and is used on aircraft. Here are some US. Distributors. http://www.endura.ca/distributors/distributors.html
It's hard for me to be objective so I'll leave you the links and let you...
M135 deep in the snow
Here's a little more M135 noise. Someone on Steel Soldiers wanted to see what the Deuce could do,
Here you go,

We have been working her a bit and as SuperDave pointed out she's not running quite right and you...
Campbulance
"""""""The Campbulance"""""""
Perfect name, concept and up-grades. They make a better retired camper than a deep off-road excursion toy because they're heavy and top heavy. Slow, lazy acceleration but with 4 tons of hill climbing, bottom end under the hood I'll be looking forward...
That sounds like a cool way to spend the day. There is a private airstrip not far from us. If I can get the truck running you come on up here and we'll recreate that day, except the Corsair may need to RC.
Did your folks keep any old photos around of those days? That would be something finding...
M1010 movin on upgrades
That is a big ol' list of things to do so lucky 1010 to find you. Hope you can get things working without too much hassle because they can be fun. Getting in the back and rocking it back forth in front of a busy store is always fun.
We found it a little warm to sleep in...
If you invite SuperDave over to work on your truck don't let him tell you he needs to take anything for a test drive.

It hit the freezing mark today so with some SuperDave motivation we got at the big red truck again.
Thank God for great mechanics.
Trying to do as much as needed but as little as poSSible to give the big Cat the best chance to fire....and fire she did.
After installing the new heat/start...
Paint Options
I need a few tailgates for the M211's and 135's when you get a sec, looks good.
If you didn't get the paint issue solved it is good to read through these and see what guys have done http://www.steelsoldiers.com/forumdisplay.php?23-Paint-and-Bodywork
I saw a sweet paint-job using...
I'm now almost certain that the magic smoke is what keeps all the wires and electrons working inside the plastic coating. The trick is trying to keep the smoke inside the wires. Everything works just fine until two wires rub together or the wrong boosting procedure is used and the smoke leaks...
Doesn't the "code of ethics" say somewhere that you're supposed to take the sections of manual and parts with you for the components that will fail on each trip.
I wondered if I over-thought it when I pulled my fuel tank off and had a couple of different views given to me.
One camp said just rinse the loose stuff out of the tank, add an in-line filter, drive and do it again.
The other camp said take the fuel tank to a rad shop and let them deal with...
Those are shiny. Somebody already loved those trucks so I bet they're begging to be driven like a truck. If I was you.......I'd get in there and get Steel Soldiers some pictures in the mud first:driver:.
I hear the 1693 Cat was a fine engine with 425hp and lots of million mile stories.
There's...
Well there you go! I didn't think this was gear oil so maybe there was a change made which I don't see in the TM.
Really appreciate that, was worried I was losing my sense of smell but 30wt or 10wt is what it looks like, groovy.
It's like you read that right out of the manual! [thumbzup]
So I shouldn't be surprised to see that again after I change it out?
The oil in that tank did not have the usual rear-end, gear oil smell so I'm wondering if it was hydraulic or synthetic.
I did see a MIL-L-10324 for temps of 0 to-...
I have the perfect place to store it....and test it...and wash it. Might be all painted up like the 601 when you come pick it up though.
Can't get enough of the history and pics so thanks for sharing. Must have Thiokol, must have Thiokol.
Lube Chart Cross-over info
Summer was here so Goose and I started on the big red thing.
I think I've got the lube chart figured out but any additional feedback or links to "lube cross-over" info is always appreciated.
Pulled the dipstick on the pump reservoir.....if I may use a French...
It's machine screw heaven over there http://www.mcmaster.com/#machine-screws/=r6lssu
....minimum quantities and shipping up here makes it pricey but its a great source, thank you. Gives us an excuse to drive down and visit a half track.
