Yeah that's slowly changing too. I came across an announcement on GSA's site a few months back saying GovPlanet was taking over some aspects of logistics of certain counties and areas. I'm trying to find the announcement page since the bookmarked link is broken (thanks to GSA's website design).
That's a different board than my truck, mine's the newer "green board" says Suprman. My board also has a green LED on the board of some key relays and the start inhibit was one. I also tried swapping a few to make sure it wasn't a faulty as I've seen before. My concern here is that the same...
Alright, the judge has spoken. Holt Cat took my ECM to their test machine and it wouldn't communicate so it's dead. It gave me the same error when trying to connect through the J1939 plug - "Failed to Communicate". They aren't aware of any alternatives except replacement at $1921.xx for a new...
Watching some cat videos and looking up schematics shows wires 52, 53, and 70 are power which are all getting 24v up to the ECM. Is there something else I should be checking pin wise?
I'll see if I can scope it out tomorrow before I hit the road. How do I access those relays? I did already pull...
I picked up an M1078A1 that's been uncooperative to start. The POC at pickup said they couldn't get the truck to start but I noticed the battery disconnect switch was in the off position and was hoping that was the issue..but it's deeper than that.
Attempting to slave start the LMTV off my...
BUMP! I got in my new-to-me M1078A1. I took a gamble on a non-runner from a local source. It came out of the 3-1 Assault Helicopter Battalion from Knox shows the log book. Last date was 06 June 16 so it's a fairly recent release from service. Even the annual service was due 4/13/17 which makes...
The thread was a year old and needed a bump as more A1 trucks in the public's hands now. A link to an operator's manual would be a start assuming it's not the A0 manuals. I know of said digital manual and hope it holds the key to my no- start issue.
Pics! Pics! But yes, LSSV is the 3rd generation of the "CUCV" family. It's based on the 2500 HD Chevy build and exactly as you described. They're basically civilian trucks with a military twist and still prone to the CUCV electrical quirks that the family is known for. Killer trucks, I want one...
I have to support Valence on this one as I've mentioned this issue a while back but the solution was to "upload smaller photos". Anything more than 2 photos for me at a time, no matter the size, and it simply doesn't post to the up loader. This is a problem with SS and should be looked into.
I've painted numerous vehicles with Gillespie including the red oxide primer. I wait 2 hours between the primer and painting with no ill effects (likely excessive but I go get lunch). I've stopped using Gillespie and started with Behr Ultra Exterior and wont go back due to availability, price...
If it has a Mack then it's an M51A1, if it has an LDS multifuel it's an M52A2, if neither it's a plain old M52 with big gasoline engine.

Check the number on the CTIS control box, later models run 90 psi at highway (mine does). Full removal of the CTIS is pulling lines, wires, and capping the axles.
5 lights means there's a serious fault that can't be overridden. Double check to make sure there are no valve cores in the valve stems first off. I assume you reused the "combat rims" off your 14's but didn't mention if you did the work or a shop did. If a shop did chances are they may have put...
