    Somewhat Sad Day at GL??

Have you already told them no? That is, did you go ahead and let them off the hook?

    Electrical access behind seat?

The only other thing I can think of is a radio harness. One of our trucks has the radio mount under the seat, and has power to that. Perhaps some trucks have power for the convoy lights?

    WisDOT renews efforts on TRANS-123

They have a pretty big membership base, nation wide. Some of the rally races they sponsor are for antique cars. Think about it. Antique imports would include cars like the Datsun 240Z, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, VW, all kinds of things. The structure of the SCCA might be able to get the...

Yup. Click on the "Resources" tab at the top of the website, then pick what you would like to see. It will take you to the old Steel Soldiers website where you will find the manuals.

Well......that narrowed it down to a 900 mile stretch of road.

    My Fort Carson Recovery Epic

It's a shame you had some problems, but it looks like you have a couple of really nice trailers. Just a suggestion; if you buy an M809 series 5-ton, they don't have in-tank, electric fuel pumps. That would solve your recurring problem forever.

    alternator's can be fun

It has been my experience, as long as he has the spare, one will never go bad. If he sells the spare, one on the truck will go out within two weeks.

    driving with one rear axle

I would have to vote with Stretch and Clinto on this. I would trailer it. Chaining up a damaged axle to get off the road, or out of a bad situation is one thing, but moving a truck 530 miles is totally different, in my view. Flat towing should only be for vehicles with solid suspensions. On...

My brother went through boot camp at Fort Polk. He doesn't have much good to say about it either.

    WisDOT renews efforts on TRANS-123

The "Enjoy your day" at the end sounds a little sarcastic, don't you think? "This rule does not apply to any vehicle for which a statutory registration category exists in ch. 341, Stats., including homemade, reconstructed, replica, or street modified vehicles that are eligible for...

M35A3 Pintle Modification for standard all hitch trailer

You should see this thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/46506-deuce-removeable-hitch.html It's an M35A2, but the modification should be the same. Or do what Clinto said, and use the search for even more ideas. (Clinto is fast on the draw, he posted while I was...

    M818 Broken Lug Bolt

You need to pull off the front hub/drum assembly. You can copy the TM here: http://old.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?module=pagesetter&type=file&func=get&tid=1&fid=file&pid=37 TM 9-2320-260-20 Beginning on page 9-11 It's pretty much like pulling the hub/drum on other trucks, just really big.

    M85 Laundry Unit pickup

If GR doesn't go, I would like to go along. I'd like to see the pickup, load-out procedure in person. If you don't mind. Ours where screened from the DMRO at Blue Grass, in Madison County, and from the KSP in Frankfort. I've never been on a GL lot, other than seeing the trucks lined up at the...
