Ours used to run smooth as silk, until I replaced the injector seals. Now it runs rough and I've done everything I know to do. It's driving me nuts. (it's a short drive) As a last resort, before I roll it into the lake, I'm going to pressurize the tank and see if it's a leak sucking air...
All of our trucks were screened, so we didn't pay sales tax. We are also a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, so we don't pay property tax. Sorry I can't help you with that.
As far as farm tags, we didn't have to prove up front that we were agricultural, but you have to sign an affidavit on the license...
I found a chain like that in one of our deuce's tool box when I cut the lock off. I was told it's an armored vehicle recovery chain. The guy that told me that also said that really big ring on the end is to fit on the hitch.
I have found it's easier to drag it around than to try to carry it.
Same here. We have farm tags on our M817 and M35A2. It limits our loads on the M817, but not by much.
I think there is some distance limit on farm tags in other states, but the County Clerk told me I could drive ours anywhere I wanted, even out of state.
Did your CC inform you of any limits?
Both tanks on our M817 say "Caution do not fill above this line" and have a short black line a couple of inches from the top of the tank.
Both of our M35A2s say "Caution do not fill above this line to allow for expansion" and have a dotted line next to the word "Caution" (see pic)
All three...
How much flex is in the M35 frame when off-roading? I mean when it's really racked. And how much of that is transferred to the body?
I'm thinking, if you built a utility vehicle, a deuce that seats 8, would the body be able to take the flex?
I assume you move the stock cab mount to the back of...
I sometimes pull the M107s with an M817, which means the truck's spare does not work. (M107 uses M35A2 wheels) I don't want to haul an extra spare in the truck bed, it's way to high to be convenient.
Has anyone else tried to put an M35A2 spare carrier under an M107 or M105 type trailer? I...
I've seen 2 kinds of "original" arms. One has a long, straight metal leaf spring on a lobe, the other has coil springs like newer wiper arms.
In my experience, the leaf spring doesn’t put much pressure on the blade. Our M35A2 has the coil springs and they seem to be OK. One of them was a...
Our M817 has always hated the cold. It was 10 here this morning when I started everything we had. The M35A2 had to think about it for a second, but fired up when I used the manifold heater. The M817 had to crank a while, and I finally hit it with a short shot of ether. It then fired up after a...
I"m in.
Put me down for 4 gallons. I guess I need to figure out what color huh?
Like you, I travel around the state a lot, and we could meet somewhere.
I'm also not in a big hurry.
