    cab top again

Take it off and work on it in the shop... only a few bolts and then you can repaint the rust on top of the windshield frame and the top of the rear panel of the cab and put the neverseize on all the fasteners and silicone on the gaskets, etc. And yes, the horizontal mambo has been accomplished...

    M809 TM question

Remember all the M series wire numbers are the same...The chart is in PS mag #38 from 1955 and in the Army Vehicle Parts Guide from Dennis Spence's Portrayal Press. As there is only one black out drive light, the others are markers, you should have no problem.. The 260 series manuals have...

    M54 fuel pump over fuelling

Gee Dave, on a M54 all you have to do is turn the idle mixture screws in the carb to set the fuel mixture, the high speed jets are fixed.. But I imagine you must be talking of Multifuel engines of the LDS variety in M54A2s although some M54s were converted to MF by NG and AR outfits....Those...

    M54 engine?

Yup, the 6602 is a fine piece of chrome moly iron.. I have a nice low time one here if you need it for a grand... I also have 3 of the new Zenith carbs which give a little better mileage than the Holley and do not have the Dieseling Propensity when hot.

grease mess in the front end

What is in order is to check the oil in the front end and see if it is overfull, secondly check the axle vent to be sure it is not blocked... There is a inner oil seal for each axle ...way in...to keep the oil in the pumpkin...aka double reduction gear unit.... There is a grease seal to keep...

add on value of a box van (communications)

Usually not much of a premium for the M109.. unless it is modified into a General's Office or similar...They are heavy and ungainly get lower fuel mileage because of the big flat front.. My experience would say not more than 500$ either way... The winch, hardtop, single tires, heater, air ride...

    more new trucks

You did not read the first post which said "They will not be on GL for a long time". Any way if we all get busy and write to our congressmen and senators the contract which GL has will expire and not be renewed next year... Remember it was only for 5 years.. Those Oshkosh Retreivers have...

    new m35a2 owner

There are two different compressors used... all covered in your manuals which you as a newbie should be reading in bed every night and at coffee break at work and while you are stuck in traffic.. Your truck looks nice and clean and straight. I note that it did not get the composite light...

New memebr, first day with M37, questions

My brain can picture this whole operation without giant picture files.. Put a spare gas can into the bracket on your RF side and run a fuel hose to the input side of the electric fuel pump ... whack the side of the carb a couple times with a hammer and away you go...Then you can rip out all...

Brakes! Grease Seals and Bearings Question...

Brake bleeding is a fun job and can be accomplished easily by one Soldier with no special tools.. The 3/4 open end on the cap is used with the 30 inch breaker bar down thru the open floor hole to break the cap loose because you forgot to put a little neverseize on it the last time... the vent...

    W400 Ambulance

Each small contract for the W400 had its own requirements.. so "all had automatic" would not be accurate... although the two I have seen around here were 360 with 727 and the two big Danas...and the rust.

RE: Re: RE: M1009 Alternator Light coming on The revving up allows the first alternator voltage to come up and then the 2nd alternator Bosch relay by your ashtray clicks and allows the voltage to be put in series to 28V or so... watch your voltmeter when the second light goes off... It depends...
