Here ya go. I did it on my deuce also. Here is my M932a1 with a shortened deuce bed on it.
Cost me about $100. Used a gallon of bedliner from the farm supply.
Read through the technical manuals provided here on the website. Also, use the search function for brake threads. There are very many posts that can provide insight and guidance on what to do.
Welcome to the deuce club !
My cold start was an issue. After replacing the injector, lines, etc it still would drip on the turbo. I finally just pulled the injector, plugged the opening, pulled and plugged the fuel lines and disconnected the electrical line to the cold start fuel pump. No problems since and my truck...
Yes.
My 932 is also plated as an historic vehicle. I will be re-plating the deuce as historic when the regular registration is up since its much cheaper and I won't be putting a lot of miles on it.
Historic vehicles only need a verification inspection and once licensed your done (must be...
Took the deuce out for a fund raiser for one of our vets who was wounded last year. Big turnout for a small town. Ross, 2buells, brought his new to him xm813 as well. Good time and the guest of honor climbed up in my deuce to play with the 50. Didn't get a pic though.
I picked up one of those geared lug wrenches off ebay. It includes the sockets as well in a nice case, $200 delivered to the house. It emoved the nuts with ease. I did get a big impact wrench and it works well and cost the same as the geared wrench.
I wouldn't do 16's, at most 14's . You might want to consider 395's. They are only slightly smaller and offer a great look.
There was a member on here that just sold an 8 series truck with 395's and it looked great.
It was a blast ! It really couldn't have gone any smoother.
I can't believe how well your 813 runs. This will be a great truck once some of the cosmetics are taken care of.
I will be looking for those parts as well for you.
It seems the GL lot up in IA has had some issues so they really...
His 813 runs incredibly well. Just needs some cosmetic work and it will be awesome. We switched trucks for a while and I couldn't believe how much smoother riding his 813 was. I think the singled tire setup makes for a more harsh ride because of the sidewall strength of the tires. When I...
Helped my buddy recover his xm813 from IA yesterday. Put 620 miles on the M93xa1 in one day. It performed perfectly. I'm very pleased. We didn't need the tow bar setup since his truck ran great. No issues on the recovery. He'll post up later. It was a very long day starting for me at 215am and...
There are two types of orings. You'll need to look at the wheel to see which types. You have large and small bolts that hold the two halfs together. Each type uses a different size oring. I don't remember which is which. My local big truck tire place had a guy that was familiar with them...
The battery box is vented through a hole in the back of the cab that's sealed off from air in the cab. It works for me.
With the batteries in the cab it makes it very easy to add accessories with an in line fuse for protection. I have a solargizer, battery tender, dome light and soon to add a...
