    35” Tires

The wheels off a Ram will not have the correct offset, you pretty much must stick with HMMWV wheels or aftermarket wheels with the correct HMMWV offset, why there are so few viable choices.

    1999 M1097 4 speed 6.5L seized motor

Please do NOT use starting fluid ever on this engine. Have you replaced all the filters?, bled the fuel system? made sure you have fuel flow to the injectors?

    1999 M1097 4 speed 6.5L seized motor

Crawl under it with a 1" open end wrench, there are some flats on the lower pulley that the wrench will grab onto, see if you can turn it by hand, if not pull the glow plugs and try again, do not hit the starter again until you can make more than 2 full crankshaft turns by hand, if there was...

I think my head gasket failed

No, although all 6.5L blocks have the provision for the center mount turbo cast into them the machining required to mount and oil the turbo is not done on the NA and civi (pickup) turbo engines, again only done on the van "P series" and the HMMWV turbo engines. EDIT, you can run an aftermarket...

I think my head gasket failed

I believe you are going to send these back, a simple phone call to the the shop with the heads would have confirmed this one way or another.

I think my head gasket failed

YES the center mount turbo is the only 6.5L that takes the angled intake bolt holes, as stated all the way back in post #35

I think my head gasket failed

That is an exhaust crossover port, not used on this application so it is simply blocked off, another throwback to its gasoline roots. In its gasoline ancestors it would be routed to the base of the carburetor to prevent carb icing and pooling of raw gasoline in the manifold. Come to think of it...

I think my head gasket failed

Stick an intake bolt in your head I bet it does not look like this if it is an NA engine.

I think my head gasket failed

I do not see why the "normal" or "angled" heads would have a different casting number, it is ONLY the angle the intake bolt holes are machined to that are different, the NA takes the straight or "normal" holes, if you look at your heads, the intake bolt holes are at 90 deg to the gasket surface...

    Who is selling P400 heads?

    6.2L "training" video

Imagine how short sided the design is that you have to remove the fuel lines from the secondary fuel filter to change a spin on filter, the last line of defense for the IP, increasing the exposure to foreign particles...

    6.2L "training" video

When he talks about SAE/USS VS Metric, some things on the 6.2L are USS, bell housing bolts (the TH400 was a SAE/USS transmission), IIRC the fuel pump bolts were USS, probably others also.

    6.2L "training" video

This is a hoot, a 1981 6.2L training video, actually more like a "familiarization" video, I remember these coming out, once a week we would sit and watch these, VHS was just really taking off about then, before that we would need a projector. Interesting about the timing marks, we treated the...

    2 man bulkhead?

So I picked up a 2 man bulkhead and it looks like it will prevent the removal of the rear seat backs that are now used to cover the openings to the passenger foot wells? It seems I will need to install access doors or remove the "half doors" to gain access.....Yes?

Anyone seen this kind of pintle hitch before?

IIRC I got mine from https://www.steelsoldiers.com/members/86humv/ (I messed that up somehow)

Anyone seen this kind of pintle hitch before?

Holy Moly! Is that what they are selling for? even without the other needed stuff (trailer plug angle etc.)? I may have to re-think what I have in my junk pile.

I think my head gasket failed

That is interesting considering we are talking about the angle of the manifold bolts and diesels do not have "plugs" angled or otherwise. The fact is "all HMMWVs" do not use the same head.

I think my head gasket failed

Same ones are on Flaebay with free shipping from Jegs, I think Summit has free shipping also over $200 IIRC

I think my head gasket failed

It should say found on GM 6.5L diesel vans and turbo hummers. only GM vans and turbo Humvee/hummer use the center mount turbo which uses the angled manifold bolts

I think my head gasket failed

Should fit the NA, the only 6.5L with special heads are the civi van/P series and the HMMWV turbo, those applications have a center mount turbo and different intake bolt angles, the civi turbo pickups had the same heads as the NA I would assume by the price these are Chicom heads. This of course...
