Dayton
I was there Saturday and really enjoyed the show. I enjoyed the chance to see Tom's equipment as well. If anyone is interested in acquiring a similar MV there is one here in Columbus that is sitting on the lot of a used equipment dealer (Smith Equipment on Harmon Avenue)
Battery draw
You know, new electrical parts do go bad every once and a while. It might not be anything you did. The guy at the alternator shop might be covering his tracks. I have not worked on any military blazers but I have worked on a few civilian ones. I have seen the thing with the...

I was at the MVPA convention this weekend and noticed an announcement saying Jeff Barger had passed away and that his estate was being auctioned off. He was a regular - decent Joe who had a real love of the military and military stuff. And when I say stuff, he had it. There is likely to be...
A while back there was a discussion about blowing oil out of the exhaust system. I just logged on and there was a PS article about it that might be helpful here is the URL...
split brakes
You might check the forum section. It seems to me that someone was discussing a kit to convert to a dual line master cylinder. It seems to me that I saw it a week or to ago.
Broke Back Brakes - the novel
In my case I was lucky and it was one of the front tires, it made the truck pull to one side. For a rear end noise I would: Make sure all tires inflated to the correct pressure, look for signs of bad or mis-match tire size. A bald or badly worn tire will make a...
Brakes
I agree with lubing the air pack first. Its not a split system so if one brake is are not releasing quickly the same should be true of the rest. I would jack a non-squealing wheel up and if the brakes release properly I would suspect something in the squealing wheel(s). I had a...
switch
Here you go, the switch part number is echsw182 (to see it at their website use part number sw182) its a well made heavy duty battery disconnect switch. Attached are some pictures of the installation.
switch
I'll post some pictures tomorrow (dark/late here) and I will try to find you the part number for the switch. I agree on the NAPA website, so many goodies so hard to find, maybe an idea for a lame TV show. Man vs computer in an never ending quest to find the right part.
switch
I put a heavy duty battery cut out switch (NAPA) in the lower left corner (just above floor 3 inches or so) of the fire wall. Not far from transmission hump. There was a place to cut a proper sized hole there witch once drilled out readily accepted the switch. I took the battery...
Larger tire
I am looking to pick up a bit of speed on the deuce (60 or so) to better travel highway and give the engine a few less RPMs. Also looking for something that would last a while and be good for year round on and off road travel. I would like to keep the duals with the existing...
