Disassemble tha lunette fron the surge system. Cut the ring off square in front of the pin. Purchase an adjustable channel and lunette or ball mount Have a professional welder weld the channel to the 1102 lunette mount leaving the most holes on the lower side. Mount the new lunette or ball and tow.

    M1102 behind a pickup

Thinking of getting a 1102 but I sure like my 101A2. I like the larger tub of the 1102 and the fact it is aluminum. first picture: 105 1102 and 101 trailers side by side. My 101A2 behind my 2500HD crew 1102 painted RED for a brush fire trailer.

    M101 A2 pick up

The tub bolts under are easy to take off, Spray them with oil a few times before removal. There are rear corner braces and two in fron of your wheels that have four bolts each. And hidden bolt in the center of the front and rear of the tub.

Nice condition. I would pull the hubs clean, inspect and regrease them. That is all my trailer needed and the bearings run cool now.

    New Guy with M101A3

No, The drum sits in the center lip. It may be seized so spray some oil and give it a couple hits on the face with a hammer. The shoes may hold it back too. There is an access plug on the back to turn the star wheel. Once off it will look like this.
