Don't need the suurge brake system?
Take it off and fab up a channel hitch like I did on my trailers.
Use a ball mount or lunette.
I would go the shorter tire route. to lower the trailer.
If you go with a new axle "they make drop spindle axles with electric brakes" get a dexter made.
I run...
A simple truck rack cut down looks good and works well.
I went with a 1 x 2" tube frame on my RED 101A2
and it hauls two canoes four kayaks or a Roof Top Tent.
I think you got the better deal, Once the beer and wine are gone all he has is................ pee.
You got a cool tub to build with and if maintained will last a long time. Nice score!
What are you going to make with it?
Very nice, are you keeping it green?
What are you towing it with?
For the footman loop I would head to a boat or RV shop they should have the gun and rivits to repair it.
two rivits and a couple minutes is cheaper than buying the gen and parts.
Are you going to run the beadlocks?
Harbor freight must have gotten wise on the price, Mine was $12.99 last year with coupon.
Now they list for $29.99 Still a great gun. and works well.
Look up Harbor freight paint job on youtube there is alot of info and tips for painting...
Go with the 12.99 Harbor freight HVLP gun. I did ny trailers with it and it worked great!

or a vinyl shop and cut a paint mask.
I went with a cast ball / pintle combo and It works great!
2" ball for the civilain trailers and a pintle for hauling green toys home.
What color is the Excursion?
I like the trailers painted a light color.
The only problem with black is that it absorbs heat.
The black items on my trailer get...
Great job on the trailer what a deal.
Towing with the Expedition will be no problem and be close to level with the right hitch combo.
The 8 bolt hubs are 8 on 6.5 the expedition are metric so no using the expedition spare.
I like the matching trailers and look forward to your build.
This is my...
I went with the Weld on ring Harbor Freight 2000 LB Model # 41006 It is a little shorter than I like so I am going to get the
HF # 3961 3500LB taller jack Both were less than $40.00 on sale. I like the weld on ring versions better than the bolt on. Less bulky material.
Here are several pictures...
Cool trip with the family! Love the earplugs your kid is wearing.
