you sure its a 3408 and not 3406? or a 3208? a 3408 is around 1200 cubes and v-8
Does it have a turbo? By "two axle" do you mean two total or two drives and a steer?
If its a 3408 i would be interested in buying the truck.
nah that looks right but a little differnt than mine. I had to cut some of the ears off the inside to get it close to the fame in order to get the splines sticking out far enough.
Yup i beat ya' on the seats man, thats what you get for taking all the good ideas out of my head :-)
Yes you may have to make alternator bracket but i think by the looks of things that would be the least of your problems. the batt's probably wouldnt be a problem. i figure like this. now you have 24 volts and the amps of one battery, make it 12 volt and you would double the amps.
We have a few...
all right....I fought with it when i posted that but i was in a hurry and the pic was too big. I was behind and needed to run so i left it with some one else, i thought they posted them for you when they did that other post....
HAHA yeah i saw thay right after i said i was going to look. Thats too small for sure. I guess that that 1410 series is a little more rare. Maybe anything with a 1410 is too big to tow behind an RV?
Hey, did you ever consider a complete 12 volt conversion? Makes life ALOT simpler. The starter is a simple 40MT(?or older?) AC DELCO unit. Im sure you could find one. I converted when I put the Cummins in and love it.
The flasher even works on 12 volts, I hear that the new style Lighted light...
Hey if anyone is interested i have been mounting 30,000 BTU multi-fuel water heaters on two wheels carts and using them for "hot boxes" I bought some arctic starting kits a while back for this reason. It takes mine almost 45 min to heat a 3406 cat to operating temp. Not sure how big of a motor...
the remco has to be able to hold the same TQ as the 1410 joint right? you would think the engineers would have made it that way. What is there to not be heavy duty enough? the outer spline is 3 inches across so it only needs to be 1/3 the stregth as the 1" (1/1/4?) slip yoke right? as for the...
Just like the splined coupler in your transmisinon.

check that link out...i think im going to buy one of them and put an air shifter on it. Then as soon as randy...
HEY man i was going to do that! i wasnt sure i would like the tapers on the sides but hey it looks alright. I was thinkin maybe older 50's pick ups have a little more square window but i too ran into lots of curves at the class shop. Either way the stock slider in my hard top is way too small...
Yup they will get louder i think. I run 285 75 16 Good year MTR's on my work truck, They got louder with time. It gets real bad if you dont rotate them too. DONT CRISS CROSS, front to rear front to rear. Its on the super swaper website too. I criss crossed a set of 39.5's and it made a mess.
Hey, how tall are you looking to be? seems to me my stack is right at 10' 6". I think the only signs to worry about are the parkin lot ones.
We run around with 13'6" all the time heck i have permited 15' 5" before. just gota watch evey wire, knock on wood, and cross your fingers!
just go grab some low profile gromets. Like you put in sheet metal to run wires through. They are round but im sure you could make it work. Some are very small in the "hole reduction" department.
hey i got an idea! stop running around the taxes and go get a govenment Grant for Alternitive fuel exparementaion....
you guys probably dont have those thought if they are that mean about it
the problem with the 5 ton axles is the lack of a power divider on long runs with spendy tires. thats why i would like to get away from them in the rear.
Im just idea shopping for my next project now so maybe in five years i know what i want
YUP thats what i was thinkin, actualy i wanted those tank retrivers. They are a seven pasenger that looks like a hemmt. then put 24R21's on it, six total. (24"wide 58" tall) VWALLA a huge hemmit lookin thing that NO ONE would wana mess with. I happen to have a 400 hp cummins and Allison CLBT 750...
