MEP -002A Fuel Pump Needed, or not?

It is so simple to pipe back to the source using 1/4" tubing/hose strapped to your incoming feed. Why make it so complicated? Sounds to me like your Lister will overflow, perhaps even if you are running them simultaneously. Jerry

My new Faraday cage/shed with insulation...a work in progress

No the sets do not run at the same time. One is back-up to the other. The one on the left is isolated by a removable spade witch. If I were to run it, the right hand one would be physically disconnected by removing the 50 amp plug from it's receptacle. It would be nice to have an isolator...

My new Faraday cage/shed with insulation...a work in progress

Tubing is 2" from Advance about $28 for each 5' length. 1 3/4" would have been better but I split the ends at the mep elbow and used SS hose clamps and aluminum tape to seal the exhaust. I I nee to bring one out of the shed, just pull the tubing through wall. Napa also carries it in 10'...

    What model Genset is this?

Try a power washer. If the tankk isn't rotten, you should be able to disturb debris around the baffles. jerry

My new Faraday cage/shed with insulation...a work in progress

BTW: will be eventually some pattern of brown to blend a bit better from the water view, as will the tanks. Jerry

My new Faraday cage/shed with insulation...a work in progress

Some pics of the Faraday cage I'm working on. MKT roof from GL, structural aluminum frame. 5v galvanized siding. Alum foil covered 1 1/2 " Celotex insulation (foil both sides) was used for walls and ceiling both for emp and sound deadening. Materials, except for 5v were left from my...

MEP-016b / 701a - fuel draining back to tank overnight

I don't know squat about that unit but shouldn't there be a fuel line one-way check valve like in the 002's and 003's

MEP-016b / 701a - fuel draining back to tank overnight

Have never toyed with that unit. I suspect the TM says there should be a check valve in-line to prevent that

Calling long-time owners of MEP002As--Vibration level question...

Get the hold downs regardless of what you learn, plastic wears out around aluminum and steel.

    MEP 003A No start

You have gone this far, see if you can pull the valves free from the rear of the nozzle and clean interiors. May have to do some convincing as they stick real tight but should be free-moving. I've used vise-grips in the past. Keep meter valve with original nozzle housings. Jerry

    Both my MEP-002a units run!

Rusty genhead is common as it is iron and doesn't hold paint well. Sorry, didn't correlate the screen name. Jerry

    EMP vs MEP003a & 2

Some pics of the Faraday cage I'm working on. MKT roof from GL, alum frame. 5v galvanized siding. Alum foil covered 1 1/2 " Celotex insulation (foil both sides) was used for walls and ceiling both for emp and sound deadening. Materials, except for 5v were left from my store construction in...
