If its for the CEV it should fit the M60A1 and M60A3 tanks as their track setups are the same. I've only heard of 1 M60A1 in civi hands and its for sale (or was anyway) for $650k.
Depends on the adapter, some of the vehicles were upgraded to the single pin and some were still on the older 2 pin style. You need to look at your vehicle to determine whether you need the adapter or not.
Well said PB, just got back from towing my neighbor's deuce with my deuce down to where he was going to store it. On the way down on the interstate his deuce started blowing diesel out up by the IP. He didn't look at it along the interstate but its in a safe enviroment now to look at it...
Just take off the hand brake. The idea of the brake system on a deuce is not that much than different a regular car. Difference is on a car you have a vacuum assist (call it vacuum over hydraulics if you like) where on a deuce you have an air assist (air over hydraulics if you like). You will...
I can't argue with that logic as I would prefer not to use both either. But I have seen/driven/started lots of older farm tractors that do have both. When either is used on an engine with glow plugs I don't let the plugs have a chance to cycle...its crank and then squirt.
Andy,
Another thing about that generator is that there is a preheater for cold weather assist (as well as manually putting in some ether). When you first start it up the battery gauge may not show it as charging, let it go a while and then it will start. The charging system is more of a...
If your truck has a heater in it the blower switch may be wired on the wrong side of the dash power switch. I got told by some AMSA guys that when in a hurry a lot of the blowers got hooked up incorrectly. I'm going to guess that if you switch is a little weak it could let some current...
So do you want pictures of the M109A4 that I saw sitting in the motor pool the other day???? Apparently they are not DRMO'ing the A4's yet even though its the same basic truck setup underneath as the M35A3 (which is being DRMO'd)..........can't figure the Gov't out and not going to try either.
In case you do decide to haul in the back of your Deuce make sure to get yourself one of the troops straps that go across the back above the tailgate. I know the military isn't supposed to (and usually won't) haul anyone in the back of a Deuce/FMTV w/out that strap in place.
I've gotten a M105A2 titled normally with the MN "plicker". My M35A2 (that I still have) is titled as a "Military Collector" vehicle but it takes special criteria to meet the "military" part of it. The other M35A2 that I had and sold (was still on the RGN and sold within an hour of parking the...
If you're using the old metal jerry cans you need to keep an eye on the liner inside of the can. Once that starts flaking off the can either needs trashed or re-lined as you will be getting chunks of the liner into your fuel system.
One thing you might do is not put the hand parking brake on, but chock the heck out of the wheels. Before all of you guys start beating me up over it let me explain the reason. If the parking brake is applied for that long of time with the moisture in the air it is possible that the brake pad...
Where's WM when you need him? :-D Murphy already visited you so if WM would show up with his wrecker it should go like clockwork  Anyway, glad you didn't get hurt.
Just be careful how you ask the question, if this thread gets misinterrupted on how to break the law and your odds of getting caught at it then there is an issue of having this online in a public forum.
