My hometown is celebrating it's Sequicentennial (150 years) Anniversary this year and the weekend of August 8-9 is designated as the weekend for honoring the veterans in my home county. I'll be taking my M35A2 (hauling vets) and the museum's M106A2 down for the parade. There are supposed to be...
Any of you guys going to Dodge care to take a look at the deuce that I just won and let me know how mechanically stable it looks? It is event 4514 item 7535. GL took 10 days (8 business) just to look at my EUC and now have requested corrections....even though I filled it out exactly as I did...
Its a very messed up deal, you can buy/import a main battle tank or any other foreigh armor from the UK for exampel but you can't buy/import anything made by the US back into the US. Some one in the politicial world must have had nothing better to do one day and dreamed this rule up.
For lowering the tire do this:
1. Pull the cable up tight and lock it with the dog leg
2. Loosen the nuts holding the bracket into the hold
3. Free up cable by unlocking the dog leg and take your sockets/wrenches off the shaft end
4. Spin the tire around on the nuts either by hand or by...
I guess the term "prototype" may be a little off. The end of the gun barrel isn't correct either the tube is different or they cut the end off with the muzzle brake. The rear decking is all different but that is due to the diesel engine. That may just be a M41A3 with some parts missing off...
Definately a prototype of some sort. The diesel engine went into the A3 version that was sold over seas as the foreign countries didn't want the air cooled gas engine. They are fun to drive as I get to play with one at the museum that I got running last year.
The attached picture was taken...
Camp Dodge had issues with stuff walking away because anyone could get on base any day of the week and go out to the lot. They have changed that now with previews and pickups only being on Wednesdays. Biggest problem is that the Nat Guard was being tasked to take care of the previews/pickups...
In addition to what Barrman said if you have an engine with the either start installed on it (like mine does) give that a shot as well. Do that as a last resort because if you don't have any fuel in the first place either isn't going to do much for you.
Chris,
Thanks for bringing this up. It is very disturbing reading some of the posts put on here by first time buyers. One of the most disturbing is "Hey I just purchased this truck, now can someone tell me about it and how it works and how I should drive it"..........etc.
OD Fever is the disease. Unless you have a catastrophic failure I would say that the first year is always the most expensive. As most of us get this stuff from GL you are more than likely to do the following in the first year:
1. Change all the filters/fluids
2. Repair any issues found during...
Another thing to consider is the tires that would be on the truck. NDTs stand for No Damn Traction for a reason in certain conditions. A good set of different tread pattern is going to cost you a pretty penny.
Northern Tool online, Tooltopia online. I bought one of the NT ones and it would barely reach (by 1/8") the square drive part of the socket. Ended up rounding out the corners of the socket so I bought a 13/16" square drive socket off of Tooltopia and it works great. Have to carry 2 sockets...
Mine had the same attitude when I first got mine....kind of wonder if it was the fact that I parked it in the front yard right in front of the kitchen window (parking brake was frozen and the drive way is on a slant). Now she loves the thing. We've done parades and weekend cruises in it. She...
