DieselBob,
Not known, I just saw that they were different and was thinking of switching them strictly for cosmetic reasons (they'll match the other 8 rims).
I assume you are referring to the holes in the rim, no I haven't seen one like that. I do have 2 on my deuce that have what look like big rivets in it.....thinking about switching those 2 rims out.
I don't think you'll be able to get one from here as I doubt anyone has it themselves. I don't know if you were able to get ahold of BC if you could get anywhere with them as they are doing background checks on you and that might flag you in an unfavorable manner.
My only thoughts on removing the drive shaft came from the possibility that Wreckerman would show up with Murphy and drop the transfer case into gear at highway speed . Like I said it was just a thought, not the "golden" way of towing based on the replies that came in afterwards saying...
Mine idles around the 750 - 800 mark (hard to tell exactly due to the needle bounce) once it is warmed up. It only takes about a 30 - 45 sec at 1000 rpm for mine to get to where it will idle.
I thought I read in another post that this can be normal until the fuel governor or IP (don't remember which part causes it) warms up. Mine does this also until it warms up and it has a brand new engine in it. I wouldn't be all that concerned if you just need to give a little gas to start.
Chow,
It should only take you about 10 minutes to get the truck apart and another 10 - 20 to put it back together. With practice (all six hubs) you can have it down to 15 minutes from start to finish per axel. If you have a wheel dolly just pull the axel out, remove the wheel bearing and...
Then the next thing to consider is once you increase the power that is available you will need to monitor everything behind it. Not saying that the deuce drivetrain is weak, but it was designed for such and such power for a certain job. Take the Cummins you keep referencing and jack it way...
Yeah, when someone would make a comment about that I would them if my (non-existent) mental problems would qualify me to park there (as I would start twitching and drooling). They would just laugh and walk away. Is the twitching and drooling related to OD Fever?????
The 934th Airlift Wing had their Family Days picnic today and our museum was requested to provide a tank. So I took over the M41A2 Walker Bulldog and my M35A2 to put them on display for about 6 hours. At times I couldn't tell which was more popular...the Walker Bulldog or my Deuce. There were...
Just keep in mind that you can take a brand new pickup off the car lot and blow the engine in it up and this is a "good" designed engine. The deuce engine IMHO is a very well built engine and if you don't abuse it and you perform maintenance it should not disappoint you. Its all how the user...
Well my EUC got sent to BC yesterday so depending on how long it takes the Deuce may not be there for you gentlemen to look at for me. If it is not thank you all for offering to check it out for me....if it is please drool at it for me
