I think it dam near out weighed my Jeep.rofl
Back on topic. I really wouldn't be hard to put some tow point on the front of the small truck and find a tow bar.
 Wreckerman. Ive taught my wife and will teach my kids, never swerve to avoid someone elses stupid mistake. Only if its a child in the road. Ive seen more rollovers because someone swerved to miss a dog or deer or squirel. (obviously, she knows if its a big huge truck in her lane get the...
Officers get alot of driver training. (the good ones anyways) Most kids now get a car with an auto and a 10 minute lecture. The sent on their merry way
My town has a new law against using hand held devices while driving. It has changed nothing. Now instead of seeing people openly talking or texting now you see them looking down into their laps trying to be sneeky about it.
It's like DUI laws. Most people think it will never happen to them...
I know the current running gear is home made. I believe the only "tank" item left is the bottom half of the hull. Ive been trying to match up the rear where that towing eye is located to see if there is anything close.
I did get a look under the cab thru an opening. You could see the side of...
Yep. Theres no unbolting and bolting on a new hitch in this case.
That northern tool 3pt hitch might work. Put a pin thru the toplink point. (might have to put a bushing in it to take some slop out and get some hefty flat stock and remove the lower link pins, drill the flat stock and bolt it...
I believe the motors will but I saw the driveshafts from one wheel to the next laying in the seat. It looked like it had a hyd. motor on each corner (4 total, 2 per side) with a shaft going to the next set of wheels. I think I might have a ppic of that on that camera. let me look
Edit: I did...
I did a search and found this: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/46506-deuce-removeable-hitch.html Something like that could be fabbed up to work on the 818. if you had access to one before your recovery you could get it built and test fitted.
do a search for...
I only got one pic. I was so disapointed I lost all enthusiasm (sp?)
I was set to go home and sell everything (the toys) I had to buy it if it were still salvagable.
I'll tell you what though. This farmer (the former) was no Bubba. My moms cousin had some other stuff around that this guy...
On the 818 the taillights and reflectors drop down below the frame right where you would want to install the hitch.
This pic is a 932a2 but the rear end (hitch and tail lights) are the same as an 818
What a disapointment.
The back story. About a year and half ago my dad reminded me that my moms cousin had a tank on his far that the farmer before him had converted back in the 50's to pull plow on the farm. Dad did not know what it was or what it looked like. (Dad had a stroke a few...
Be sure to let them know about the flex built into the frame of the deuce.
Im betting that when its all said and done, in order to protect the cab and still alow the cab to flex the exo cage will be so far away from the cab and will have so much tubing that it will severly take away from the...
My 818 on 11's sits 31" to the center of the pintle.
With the way the hitch drops on the tractors I dont see a truck style receiver hitch going on without major modification. Not something that can be accomplished in the "yard"
The is someone on here with a drop down hitch that hangs in the...
