    Leveling a M1008

Take it to a spring shop. Have them handle it. They will probably rebuild the front springs... and adjust the height accordingly.

    M1009 Recovery...

RE: Re: RE: M1009 Recovery... I assume you are talking about for the hood latches? It seems the springs inside the hooks may fail over time. Mine have never held with much force, and it seems they finally failed. My safety catch is als defunct. I suppose I need to figure out what is up with...

    M1009 Recovery...

Re: RE: M1009 Recovery... Actually, it was a pretty short trip... maybe 5 miles. I didnt mess with either. I am not sure where I would have hooked a safety chain on the 1009 anyway. And, I ran the convoy lights, as well as the flashers on the lightbar of the 1009, plus the 4 ways on the 1009.

    M1009 Recovery...

Some of you already know.... I lost the transfer-case in the M1009 this week. It got really bad friday morning, on my way to work. Wouldnt even stay in gear hardly anymore, and it was all I could do to get it to work. So..... Today me & the 19 month old took the deuce to go tow it home. I...

    12 volt relays

As long as you have a 24v controlled relay, yes. Also.... why do you need a seperate ground? Should be no need, if you ground both systems to the frame.

Need some advice on a hard starting CUCV

do NOT.... again, do NOT use ether on a 6.2..... do yourself a favor, finda can of pure silicone spray, and use that instead. Its glow plug friendly. I would suggest wiring up a temporary manual button, for testing purposes. This will tell you if its a bad controlelr or not. I think quite...

Newb with more Glow Plug Relay Questions

RE: Newb with more GPR questions sorry Ohh... I missed the battery problem... low voltage will cause a relay to chatter ;-)

    The other infernal wiring thread.

I know my brothers 82 Civvy blazer had a fuel heater underneath the manifold. It was powered on the same circuit as the gauges. Might want to see if you can find someone with a civvy schematic....

Newb with more Glow Plug Relay Questions

RE: Newb with more GPR questions sorry Define 'nasty' noise. Is it a 'chatter'? Like the relay cant stay engaged?

Warn 6000 lb 24 volt Electric Winch

Its a standard WARN winch. They should be able to provide you with the info you need. I know I have pulled the schematic from their site before, for mine.

fuel surge + Pulls to left front when braking

That surge sounds like you might have an air leak.

    M101 Spare Tire

If its the wheel like the M37, its not an A2.... And yeah, its an M37 wheel, exactly. A True A2 will use an 8lug rim, like off a 1008 (or your 1031)

The A-frame kit (hoist) for M35-let's talk about it

I have considered something like that with my towbar. I just dont think I could trust my control of the deuce winch for lifting like that. Of course, maybe thats why you used the 4wheeler winch!
