Could it be a one-off G744 series truck that was RE-manufactured BMY? Maybe a test to see if the military wanted to update the older 5-ton trucks ala the M35A3 project?
Here's the dimensions of the 2 copper washers, if it will help you find them at a hardware store or fastener shop... I am doing wheel cylinders soon and I got my copper washers from Saturn.
O.D. 13/16" x I.D. 5/8" x 1/32" thick

It's my understanding that 6TL/U6TL batteries are very durable - The plates are thick and well supported so the batteries can take a beating and survive. Normal el-cheapo batteries will not stand up to the vibration and jarring of off-road usage, and you can get shorted cells... Not something...
It's in a White/Oliver 2-155 tractor, I attached a pic of one. The engine came factory installed in those tractors, and that's the stock filter setup, but the 1458 spin-ons may not be any better than the cartridge style filters... Devilman is out camping with the FL and GA guys this weekend...
The "NAPA Gold" spin-on filter that the White 2-155 tractor with the 478 c.i. Hercules engine uses is part number 1458.
Has anyone tried to cross this in a filter book to see if there is a better filter that will fit? There is no "1458XD", and from the picture, it doesn't even look like the...
Maybe there's different different designs out there, but every single cylinder compressor I've seen had the unloader line running back to the air governor on the firewall. The connection where it goes is the hexagonal boss with the three vertical holes in it shown in the pic below. The center...
Slide hammer usually works. Bjorn's method is to use a 6' long 1" dia. metal rod to pop the seal out from the opposite side, with the rod running all the way through the axle.
Saturn's boots are not old, they're new manufacture... probably Korean. Walker's sells the same ones, so I guess I have dry rot to look forward to soon...
I ordered zipperless boots from Ted Hils, and they accidentally sent me zipper boots. I sent them back to get the zipperless ones, but I...
Wow. Glad I got mine when I did - I got Saturn's last one a few months ago. Have you guys seen the asking price on eBay? $499? Not really a bad price considering the quality of the kit and the new front grille cover, but it would sting to pay that after you knew they were available for $250...
Hey Bjorn,
Check out this thread... it shows the cotter pin mod to hold the bottom plate on the pump:

I didn't see the parts listed separately in any TMs, so I guess they're only available with the pump?
Jon
Adirondack Dodge still lists M35 heater kits for $250 on their site:
http://www.adirondackdodgeparts.com/
Click on "Products", select "Mil Vehicle Parts", then "M35" and it's listed as "Heater Kit".
They ought to be giving me a commission for all the plugging I've been doing for them lately...
One thing that would complicate having several different maps is that many MV parts suppliers are ALSO salvage yards... In my area, both Walker's and Antelope Valley sell new manufacture parts, NOS parts, and used parts from their boneyards... many similar suppliers would end up being on both...
Most MV parts suppliers / surplus dealers over here sell them... Adirondack Dodge lists them for $1 each:
http://www.adirondackdodgeparts.com/
Click on "Products", then select "Mil Vehicle Parts"... Click on "Exterior" and they're listed as "Gas Can Rubber Gasket".

Jon
I would just get the additive - it's called "Supplemental Cooling Additive" or just "SCA", and it's available at any heavy truck parts place or at dealerships like Cat/Cummins/Detroit/International, etc. There are test strips for checking that the level is correct, and it's a good idea to check...
