I am curious about this. Mine came from a 350 (same trans as 454) bolted right up to the 6.2 with no problems.

Yea the intercooler was another consern but i have one from a dt408 that looks like it would stand a good chance of sneaking in there. I fit an intercooler in a cucv with the stock radiator location and no grill mods so I would think the deuce would be easier, I hope.

I have not had a multi out of the truck yet but the 466 is huge compared to the 5.9's. Had me concerned if it would be a no go.

Ok, i have read through some 466 threads but there not answering my question. Will the DT466 fit in the deuce engine bay? I dont want any input as far as what other engines would be a "better" transplant. I have 6bt's & ISB's but want something different. I have one 1995 DT466 w/ the inline...

As said, Cummins is by far the first choice, defiantly not the isb (24v) though. I like the 7.3 idea and am curious to know the outcome if you get the opportunity. Swap away OP!

I would think if a 4500, Or a ZF for that matter can handle it, a 3053 would be just fine. The disk is easily upgradeable.

I would think the bellhousing from a dt444 from a bus would give you the sae 3 you need. I have thought this would also be a good swap for a cucv.

Take the two rears from one side and bolt them on to the other. See what you think. It will tell you %100 if they will clear.
