the engine will burn anything that is flammable so your choices are nearly endless. only thing you shouldn't run is 100LL.
depends on what you consider a rebuild. seals and bearings are one thing. replacing anything with wear it altogether different.

I'd like to know how much of the multifuel heater system is left and if that knob on the pass side of dash is the deep water system. if it has those I'm down for it.

brake fluid doesn't evaporate. it doesn't disappear. it leaves for a reason. YOU HAVE A LEAK!!!
fix it before you kill somebody.
careful doing that you may find that it will never stop leaking. it's best to buy a new one. either way don't let the element touch metal. it needs to be free standing in coolant.
