Well, I took my top off today, with intentions of putting in the set of new bows I got at Jim Thorpe. I knew I was going to have to drill new holes for 2 of the bows, since my truck came with them going on an angle, and the tob has the velcro for them to go straight.

Dont forget the radio trays, and all the skid plates, etc that a 1009 has that a civvy doesnt. The military lists them at 5500.
Another thing to check from time to time, is your air cleaner... I found and evicted a family of mice from mine the other day. It hadnt sat for maybe a week!! I guess they got in through the small tube out the back side.
Takes 2 guys to lift off... no big deal. When you go to put it back on, just take the time to clean the gaskets, and all is well. I have had mine off a couple of times now, and have had no trouble. These caps were designed to go on and off as much as you desire. Its a shame that Sklyer...

If you are looking for a light that does real good for warning, I would suggest the halogen version of this one. Runs about $100-125 last I knew.
