I have been searching the 24p for about 3 days and can't find the nsn for what I would call the road speed sensor on the back of the transfer case.
I'm also looking for the air pressure sensor that is mounted to the spring brake override valve on the dash.
anybody have the nsn or even better...
about the only way to see how your engine is performing is to put an egt on it. if you know that then you can guesstimate how much more fuel it can take without over heating the pistons.
sure it's possible but it will only fix a problem in the valve on the transmission. if you have a problem with the transfer case then no it won't fix the problem.
go to any airport that has a mechanic. we use that stuff in the aircraft and you can have as much as you want. black or red. I think the black is higher temp.
you are right on all accounts. the extra 5" might not make me legal with commercial dry vans(under 12.6) but it will on the military ones as I believe they are not quite as tall. and I shouldn't need the dolly anymore either. but I'll prob keep mine as it's paid for and it looks cute behind...
I believe i had a whole post on just this exact topic. I picked up one of these kits a yr or so ago and spent a month or so and installed it. yes it takes a while to do it right.
as some may know the 915A1 has a plate that wraps the frame rails. I removed that portion in favor of the std 809 type flat plate. this kept me from having to remove the 90 deg angle piece that is rivited to the 809's frame.
All in all when all the way forward the 5th wheel sits where it did...
I replaced my old stock 818 with a new slider. it's also about 5" lower to help offset the larger tires and moves the trailer back on those pesky 28' ones that hit the landing gear. it's air and I'll have a switch on the dash to actuate it.
