    Recovery disaster - Long

that stinks. I hope the big nhc isn't dead. anything can be fixed it's just a matter of how much $ you have. at worst case your looking at an inframe rebuild. best case you have a broken rod that somehow didn't damage anything else. let us know how you come out.

rebuilding a turbo for my 250..

I'm sure you can but a blower will take hp to drive while a turbo is free. so you will tax the motor more with a blower and it will take a lot more work to get it in there. I'm not sure you can drive a big enough blower with v belts to make it work.

? on cab ringmount plate rivets

I think all deuces have that plate. if you look at the tm's for the ring install I think it only shows the 1 plate on the rear of the cab and the 1 that bolts to the cab rail where the hard top would have bolted down.

Hard starting in cold Cummins NHC250

just keep pumping. you only have 1 glow plug and it sits in the intake manifold. your basically shooting raw fuel across a spark plug. I would bet that if you didn't have any fuel leaks in the system you wouldn't need the ether. how does it start in warm weather?

    M817's Hard at Work

the 817's have cummins motors and the 51's have the multifuel.

? on cab ringmount plate rivets

I wouldn't do welds. the materials are too different in thickness and I wouldn't trust my life to welded sheet metal.

? on cab ringmount plate rivets

I used 3/16 and used 98 of them. tm's call for steel rivets but those things are hard to pop with a hand gun.

How slow do you go m818

    sprag gear transfercase question

no. not unless you have bill gates money and if you did you wouldn't have bought an old rusty army truck. fix what you have and it will work wonderfully and probably cheaper than anything else you can dream up.
