remember, you cold start advance switch advances the pump timing when cold, once at 120deg, you will hear the motor get a bit quieter as it retards the pump timing.
EGT gauge is a turbo thing...not an NA thing.
ive been timing HMMWW’s for 35yrs...start at the scribe line and Advance from there, pay attention to engine noise and smoke color out exhaust. Advanced pump will make the motor “clacky” when cold.

All the gauges have one thing in common.
1. one wire is 24v switched
2. each gauge has a ground
3. each gauge has a source signal from the component it’s reading. So I’m not sure where these Amps come into play,
yea, the amount of refrigerant is based on ambient OAT, so that’s the max, I’ve been going 3.5 from the book.
