I see what you see as a crack, Ron... but there is a large HOLE in the center of that bearing, isn't it...!?
Seems the bearing just popped open its whole center portion...?
Pics below, for comparison...

Weird - looks like there is a stream coming right out of the center of that bearing...!?
Can you take some close-ups; maybe try to clean it a bit to see if there is an opening?
It takes a M-2016, closed end needle bearing there; and never leaks like that.

Very true! That's what they do - even being mild steel (which they are in fact)... because -like most solids- they still have a certain elasticity... and because in "normal" service that elastic limit is never reached.
Also true! ... in excess of its yield strength, yes.
BTW, the same will...
Most has been answered, already.
Just for clarification, regarding body parts: the hood; doors; WS-frame; top and other accessories are the same for all; not so the grille; fenders; engine side panels; headlight mounts; dash panel, instrument panel and much more...
This thread at least, has...

Apparently it's an early version; NOT the M1078A1 at least...

UPDATE! to my previous post...
Greg (dataplatesnet) has managed to convert my files (!) and this round it came out - I would say ... "perfect" enough! :-D (see below, after superposing both....)
BIG IMPROVEMENT so far, and.... it can only...

Good that you posted this, as I was thinking what to write here or not, to explain the actual situation (and your limitations)...
To all:
hopefully every company I had ever to deal with would be so quick to respond to emails...! And willing to...
My mistake: I automatically said Oshkosh but then realized that it was S & S who made the FMTV trucks, until 2010 or so.
I did notice their logo on the grille in the OP's pic and yes, it is different from what the latest Oshkosh's show.
What leaves me wondering is that unique grille: not what...
You already have Gary's excellent explanation above.... better than any Operator's-TM!:)
Regarding proper parking brake maintenance; yes, TM 9-2320-361-20; chapter 8, section I; pages 575 to 591. That is about all a guy needs to know!
That manual can also be found in our own library, under...
