    what color do i have

Should be 383 green CARC. You'll find the paint is probably pretty faded and replacements won't match really good.

    2.5 ton wrecker?

There was one on ebay that ended a couple of days ago. It didn't sell for $2495. I think it was in MD, maybe it was NC. Anyway it was incorrectly listed as a M33. I think I have the contact info back at the hotel. It will probably re-appear on ebay I would guess.

Where do you source your parts?

One other consideration: You may look at the spin on filters, not military but nice. JATONKA sells them. Can't wait to get a set.

    data plate

Another thing to remember is that the A2's and A3's were made from kits supplied by GM to standard CUCV's. It is very possible the data plate never got removed and the new one installed, or since some are on the door, the door may have been changed.

    data plate

If you have a M1028 it is not DRW. A M1028A2 or A3 would be the DRW. A M1028 should have the 14 bolt, while the A2 or A3 would have the Dana 70 DRW. Which transfer case do you have? A2's have the NP-205 while the A3's have the NP-208. Data plates are often missed or uninstalled.

4 wheel steering on a deuce?anyone done it?

Here's the reply I got from PSC about adding full hydro steering on a deuce: Full hydraulic is not legal or recommended for the street. You may be able to set it up with a Servo instead of an orbital valve and keep it street legal. The servo basically goes inline between the steering gear and...
