I don't know. I am confused. I would not know where to refresh a ground on the instrument cluster. If you clean the main plug contacts. I would say you have cleaned and refreshed everything by doing that. So it may be a loss in the communication. But cleaning contacts and refreshing grounds has...
Definitely remove the fiberglass top. I used the rear bolt holes on the top of the rails and used some fender washer and secured a d ring nut in place. I then lifted the body with ratchet straps and lowered it onto horses. I used the front fender upper cowl bolts on the front side. But I had...
I replaced an upper hinge door bolt on the drivers door of Terminus M1009 that I used to rescue a 5 ton at Rausch that had a broken air tank bleeder fitting. I used grade 8 3/8" X 16 with grade 8 SAE 3/8" flat washers so I could beef up the anchor point. The new bolts have a tensile strength of...
NO. But do not go wild on the 4 front bolts. Soak them well in PB Blaster, Kroil , Any good rust penetrating fluid. The nuts in the body will break loose if you go wild. It is a toss up and I have a 95% success rate at getting them out. When I do fail it was because of impatience and trying to...
I really thought someone else was going to post more pictures and some short video's. I seen nothing from the other groups. I never seen any of them the whole day and we were moving for 9 hours. Going forward we are calling our group Kampfgruppe B. We did a bit of struggling but nothing that...
Driving with the seat propped up. It is to much weight for that weak eye end to support over rough terrain. Admit it you did the Duke of Hazard jump with it. I won't tell anyone. I jump mine all the time so I just let me seat out of latched down.
I just installed the sealed box relay on 2 trucks. I copied one of the plug and play relays that Antennaclimber made. I think it is a great sealed replacement and beats the pants off of hacking the wiring. It could easily be mounted under the hood by extending the wires. I could run them along...
Terminus M1009 performed flawlessly at Rausch Creek yesterday. I had no problems with it. It will require a bit of spit and polish. But running a 100% stock M1009 it went everywhere that the 5 tons went with the exception of deep water and extra deep mud holes. I was traveling in Kampfgruppe B...
My Sons M1028 A1 goes 76 MPH flat out on the interstate and it drinks fuel about 12 MPG pulling a trailer with an M1009 on it. My Son tow barred my Terminus M1009 up I 81 N at about 70. And I seen the speed signs 2 miles before going into the construction zone. It said 72 and dropped to 70. Mine...
From Kampfgruppe B.
THAT'S ALL FOLKS. See you next time. I came home with a bit of mud on my shoes and a dirty pair of gloves. Last few pictures are a high flex on Terminus M1009 and a high right as he waves good bye to Raucsh Creek for the day and a low bow to the crowd of on line spectators...
This is the mud hole I was referring to in the previous post. Some one that went thru that mud hole last time will be in for a shocker the next time they try. It is much deeper. Same goes for the center of the lake. Gruppe B has left it's mark and we kicked butts and took names. It was a great day.
More fun from the the B group. I stayed out of the deep water this time. Up to the bottom of the rocker panels was my limit this trip. I seemed to keep a more comfortable truck that way. We did miss the JPG M1010 this trip. IMHO the power line on the up side got a bit rougher. And a few of them...
Kampfgruppe B left formation early and set out on a wild adventure. After a full day of wheeling and spinning in mud we only logged 31 miles on the trails. And the bulging right rear tire on Terminus M1009 never failed. And neither did Terminus M1009. A few tough spots for a stock M1009 caught...
I think I would need some picture to make sure you have everything. Because other then that it is 2 - 1/2" coarse thread bolts for the hinge that bolts to the floor. And you will need 2 - 5/16" coarse bolts for the lock/prop rod if you are going to install that. Very easy. Even a cave man can do...
