If you grind the offending finger (Your reference)down on the backing plate. When you hit the brakes the backing plate and caliper will just spin around in a circle and tear the brake hoses. You will not be stopping. Do you have the backing plates switched right for left and vise versa? I am not...
I was digging around and found some pictures on a disc that I have of an M1028 that I owned for many years. Look how nice the paint was on it. I decided to repaint the truck that year. I have since sold it. I just got tired of babying it. It was as next to perfect as I have ever seen. The wheels...
I was able to get the under side coated on the M1008 cab. I used the Rusfree undercoating/rust proofing. It covers real nice and cleans up easily. It is 100% better then thespray cans of under coating. And it seems to last much longer also.
I installed 2015 Chevrolet Express van seats in Terminus M1009. hey were a direct fit with the OEM seat risers and NO holes had to be drilled. I opted for the vinyl seats vs the cloth seats because I knew they were going to get exposed to a lot of mud and dirt as I only use Terminus M1009 as an...
I used a seat from a 90's era Silverado pickup in my M1009 Mule. I used 3/8" X 3" flat bar and bolted it to the original floor nuts and then studded with 3/8" elevator bolts thru the flat bar to accept the new pick up truck seat. I also removed a seat from a Chevrolet Kodiak 6500 and it worked...
If the transmission is cracked that is an easy fix. have the case welded. That is a common issue with the transmission. I have seen it on more then several occasions. Easy fix. Alaskan town should have a welder guy. Keep that CUCV going. Getting a transmission case shipped in could get a bit...
I always said if I am getting haters it must be because they are jealous and can not stand to see me having fun that they are to boring to have in the first place. So I guess we are all doing something right. These trucks are not museum pieces. We are using them for what they were built and...
I love the tailgate. Back east here that gate would fetch big bucks. $$$. Nice straight and free of rust. No license plate light required in California?
Yes and I had the heat on in Terminus M1009 all day. That is a good feeling when it's cold and you are splashing thru the mud holes and off - roading and you can do it with the window down and still be comfy inside. Wheeling on snow and ice covered trails is not very fun at all. I am not a fan...
Good Luck. Rust never sleeps and small stone particles will get in there. I had a few Line Xed and then covered them with isolation. But if you have a CUCV that does not leak water at all. You will have the first one I ever seen or heard of. These vehicles leak and even get in and out with the...
In Pennsylvania that truck would rot out in 2 years. That truck would never dry underneath that sound proofing mat. I have newer trucks that have rubber mats in them and in about 6 years the mats are soaked and the floor have bubbling paint from being wet and getting scratched and rusting. My...
These are some post Rausch Creek pictures of Terminus M1009. I was happy to see no fluid leaks from the engine and the oil was still full and clean after a hard day of running. I had replaced all the seals and wanted to do a thorough check out after being in the mud and dirt. It looks very dry...
My Son just put single exhaust on 2 CUCV's. Why because he wanted to. We used the front Y pipe from a 1987 K10 Chevrolet pickup I had setting here and a 1987 K5 Blazer. Both had 350 gas engines and the exhaust shop stitched the diesel flanges and ran back 4 or 5 inch pipe and he dumped it with a...
If you look at my Easter find M1008 you will se that I primed and then I undercoated it with Rusfree under coating. I think a few guys on here have used it. It sprays with a siphon gun and covers real nice. I have been using it for the past 30 years and have ha great results. I just under coated...
