    Winch Shear Pins

Hooty, its all right, you have a valid Q.; I wish I had the A. to that.... I mean accurate alloy specs of the brass rod I used. No chance, so far...:( I could send you a sample if you want to have it tested it in a lab? Yes, I know that chart can be kind of confusing since I put all materials...

    Making a fiberglass hood?

OK, THANKS A LOT, AceHigh!! (man, you didn't have to go out in the rain just for this, hope you don't get a cold...!) It appears to me that to gain space they have moved the grille forward all the way almost touching the bumper? That would be 2.5 inches, looking at a stock A2 here...

    Making a fiberglass hood?

Depends where you measure....:) (drawing below) Yes, the cowl remained untouched so the hood is the same width at the back but the nose is wider, since the grille has been widened also. I think it's two inches added on each side but I don't have a A3 hood here for an exact measurement.:(...

    Transfer case noise & Leaking

doesn't sound to me as if those two things were related... 1) Check for loose bolts, especially the ones on the jackshaft. 2) While driving, slightly pull the e-brake lever and listen for changes in noise. 3) The leaking around the shift shaft (if confirmed) prob. started after repeatedly...

    10K Winch Assembly Questions

That would be the correct method, but why bother trying to unscrew that plug if the keys can be seated from the clutch side face also, using a hammer and some improvised punches/ wedges...:-) G.

    Transmission leaking, found out why

Agree on most but..... as long as the little rubber boot stays intact it will prevent most of this from occuring in years. The problem is where to find the GOOD, long lasting ones???? With stainless steel shafts, do you skip them entirely? How could pressure build up inside the tranny if the...

5 ton mf power steering pump on m35a2
