That copper washer is only intended as a gasket, not a shim! If you used teflon tape or sealant instead of a metal gasket it should make no difference in the mechanical function.

Just to clarify: if the original problem was drivetrain wind-up after "coasting backwards" it still will occur in NEUTRAL... !!
Only when shifted into REVERSE should a spragTC-equipped truck pull or roll backwards...

My answer (again) is: YES!
If still in doubt, take one of them out, drive for a while and compare temps.
Eventually they will "wear in" or better say burn out, soon! Then hub temperatures will be back down to "normal", at the price of reduced sealing capability, at best...!

YES, a very common problem, even after swapping in a depot-rebuilt motor with a brand-new clutch.....!
Live with it until you finally decide to service the clutch and find out that both surfaces - pressure plate to flywheel - had NOT been working exactly parallel to each other! (very noticeable...

One day more sooner than later you will find out what was wrong, meanwhile you have a good working winch!
