Does MIL only use CARC for HMMWV?

I use nothing but 80 grit and it looks fine...CARC lays on thick and fill most imperfections. Type 9 CARC looks beautiful when done right...does not compare to the old silica based stuff, that stuff was like 120 grit sand paper.

Does MIL only use CARC for HMMWV?

You want an epoxy primer compatible with aluminum.....if you get to bare aluminum, it needs acid washing and alodine treatment.

No forward or reverse movement at running temps

i have had this issue on several customer trucks...the key is simple, once your tranny slips, STOP! anything after that is just ruining the Trans clutch plates, that equals rebuild. as far as the tcase, just loop the Tcase back to itself and same on the 2 tubes till you get it fixed. you might...

    injector pump??

Hmmwv pump for 1985-1989 is -4523 or -4524, I have used with good succes the -4879 also, but this is stated to be for 1990 and above 6.2 engines. The issue you will find is the 1990 and above 6.2 uses different injectors and Lines. the body of the injector is shorter, thus the lines are longer.

Anyone tried an overhead console in a HMMWV?

All I have is an iPad right now...I posted a pic some time ago as well. all I can say is just install a double decker radio mount. I've seen others on the forum who have done the same.

Anyone tried an overhead console in a HMMWV?

There is still plenty of room...there are 2 shelves. I have a .50cal ammo can on mine, my IBIS Tek light bar switch panel. I could add a ton more crap...and even more if I add all the brackets off of it for other stuff like phones, monitors, iPads....

What temp should the 6.2 run??

not sure why everyone is trying to cool down a Diesel engine, please remember how they work, these are not gas engines. you need fuel, air, heat and pressure....thus the heat makes for efficient combustion. It's not healthy for the engines to not reach operating temp. In the case of the 6.2...
