    1025 hardtop restoration question.

That bearing is bolted into the roof support, the roof rests on the roof support and is held in place by the 6 half moon pieces as well as the 2 front corner and 3 rear isolators. Assuming you removed all the hardware holding weapons tray, and roof hardware, the roof should lift off, that would...

Geared hub input seal retainer shims

They have them is different sizes...you add them to the correct tolerance so the plate does not over tighten the upper spur gear once the 4, 3/8 bolts are torqued. The TM has the procedure. if you get it all torqued and cannot turn the spindle somewhat freely, it's too tight, too loose...

HMMWV 4-Man Troop Seat / Bed Rails

I am not aware of any troop seat set up for a 4 man setup...they only make a troop seat setup for the 2 man setup that adds the bench seats, divider, top, doors and rear door close outs

    Just purchased 1991 Humvee M998

The only thing for certain, as that everything is uncertain....If I could take pics of the some of the weird, unexplainable things I have seen on HMMWV's, I could write a book. for example....X-Doors on M1152's...why?

    Just purchased 1991 Humvee M998

The star is US army, not used on MC trucks....also, only marine corp trucks get fording kits, Army, air force do not, so if no wet kit, it's Army.while others may have seen a variance to this, I have not...and all the services vehicles go through me before they ever get to the ramp of a C17,C5...

    Neutral safety switch

Do not bypass the switch....it's there for your safety and everyone around you. bypassing the switch allows the truck to be started in gear...if there is smoke? Something burned or is buring. find it...fix it....
